Inspired by Pitch Perfect. Also please excuse typos I don't feel like proofreading. Occapella is where you sing with no music, FYI. (I know nothing about college I'm sorry)

Percy POV

The first day of College. Like high school, but more high.

I was walking around campus, checking out the different groups and clubs you could join. I was standing outside a shady looking booth for some shady looking kids, and a girl ran into me, almost knocking me over. I grabbed her shoulders to steady myself.

"Woah, slow down high speed!" I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"I am so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going, and I ran into you, sorry!" She said. She had long, curly blonde hair, an athletic build, and silver round glasses. She was also fairly petite. Not as in short, but just... small.

"I'm Percy Jackson," I told her taking a step back to give her some space, and sticking out my hand for her to shake.

"Annabeth Chase," she introduced herself. She shook my hand. She had really small hands.

"How about we meet up sometime? To make up for me almost knocking you over, of course," Annabeth requested.

"Uh, yeah sure. If you want." Then I realized something. "I don't know how to contact you."

"Oh! Right, yeah that's kinda important," she said with a laugh. She took her phone out of her back pocket and unlocked it without breaking eye contact with me. "What's your number?"

I told her my number.

"Cool. I'll text you later," she told me, turning away from me and rushing over to someone in the distance.

I stepped away from the shady booth. Annabeth was over by the occapella singing girls group. I had an idea.

I went over to the all-boy group. I decided to try out, not because Annabeth might be, but because I actually like singing, and maybe this could get some money to help pay for college.

...

"Okay, so let me get this straight," Annabeth started, trying not to giggle. "You were kidnapped when you were twelve, and your kidnapper took you across the country," I nodded. "And you got into a shotgun to rifle battle?"

"Yeah, basically," I said. We were in a coffee shop just off-campus. We were currently sitting at a small table in front of a window.

Then Annabeth did something that surprised and impressed me simultaneously.

She laughed.

Not like a sweet little "ha, ha," but a large, "HA!" Multiple times.

I joined her after I got over myself.

"Do you want to come over sometime? My roommate will probably hate you, but she hates everyone."

"Yeah, sure. I'd like that." I told her. "How about we play twenty questions?"

"Um, sure? I don't think I can come up with twenty questions about you, though."

"That's fine! You can use my questions if you want."

"I can ask anything?"

"Well yeah, but nothing too crazy."

"Okay, you start," Annabeth told me.

"Favorite color?"

"Grey. What's yours?

"Blue. Favorite movie?" I asked.
