20. Safe In His Arms! (Past)

Ye Jin had travelled a thousand miles just to see Hyun Bin and to be with her husband. She can't wait to reunite with her beloved husband. Her heart pounding harder and harder as she arrived at the apartment where Hyun Bin stayed during his treatment.

How will her husband react when he sees her? She really hopes that her husband will welcome her presence here with joy but not as a burden for him.

"Ye Jin ah, get some rest. Bin is not here. He has treatment at the hospital today." Said Papa Hyun.

"Oh..."

Ye Jin felt disappointed. Her husband was not there. She really hopes that Hyun Bin is waiting for her in the apartment. She can't wait to see her husband to get rid of the anxiety in her heart.

She tried to convince herself not to worry about what would happen later. There are no changes to Hyun Bin, he still loves his Nae Sarang as before.

"What time will Bin Oppa come, Papa?"

"I'm not sure. Bin has an appointment with the doctor. Hmm... Ye Jin ah, to be honest... we haven't told him about your arrival." Said Papa Hyun who was in the state of guilty.

"Ahh...? Why Papa didn't tell Bin Oppa? He did not know that I would come here?"

"Ye Jin ah, we don't want him to be stressed. Last time you said you wanted to come here but then you did not come. So, Bin's emotions were unstable. He became stressed. When he was stressed, his health condition was disturbed. Since then, we will not talk to him about uncertain things."

"I'm sorry, Papa. I didn't mean to bother Papa and everyone during that day."

"It's okay, Ye Jin ah. We understand your situation. We did not tell him anything since then to avoid his stress. Sooner he recovered as usual, he began to remember what he had forgotten. We don't want to burden his mind with your problem either. Even though he has recovered, but his mental health still fragile."

"What does it mean?"

"Ye Jin ah, you must be very patient in this matter. Papa does not know how much he remembers about you since he has recovered. He did not talk about you after the surgery."

"So, why did Papa ask me to come here? Perhaps Bin Oppa doesn't want me to be here?" Ye Jin asked and began to feel uneasy.

"It wasn't us who asked you to come here. Halmeoni who insisted you. She said that it was not good for both of you to be separated for a long time. Then, Papa also agreed with Halmeoni."

Ye Jin rubbed her face several times. Her head began to ache. Probably lack of sleep.

Her doubts were now proven to be true. She became insane.

What will happen and what should she do after this?

"Don't worry Ye Jin ah. It's good that you are here. You can look after Bin. You should get some rest. Go to sleep if you are tired. There are foods in the fridge if you are hungry. Make yourself at home. Papa want to go out."

"So, when will Papa tell Bin Oppa that I'm here?" Ye Jin asked again.

Papa Hyun felt guilty for his daughter-in-law's when he saw her face looks worrisome and anxious.

"We will tell him slowly later. The doctor has told us that in any case, we don't give him a surprise. Ye Jin ah, please be patient."

Upon hearing her father-in-law's explanation, Ye Jin began to feel that her arrival was a burden to Hyun Bin!

She felt something unwanted to happen. Her heart began to doubt Hyun Bin's acceptance of her presence here.

Ye Jin enters to Hyun Bin's bedroom. She placed her bag on the side of the bed. Then she looked around the room where her husband had been living in during his treatment.

There is a piece of Hyun Bin's jacket on the bed. She took the jacket and then sniffed her husband's body scent on the jacket. She was longing for her husband.

Here she comes from afar to meet her husband but still had not met the person she missed. She came with hope as a bearer of good news to Hyun Bin, but now her presence seems to have become a burden.

As long as she has not met her husband, Ye Jin is not sure she will be here for a long time.

Ye Jin's fatigue has reached to peak. She looked at the clock on the wall. It's getting darker outside. She did not sleep more than twenty-four hours. If she tries to stay awake for a longer, she will collapse later.

There's no point if she is waiting for her husband to come home in this situation. Papa Hyun told that they would be home late at night.

The bedroom was a bit dark, only the bedside lamp was dimly lit. Ye Jin planned to take a nap but as soon as she put her head on the pillow, she fell asleep.

Ye Jin was in the unconscious state. But she felt there was something gentle touch her parts of the body. She realized there was a hand hugging her body from behind. She tried to release that hand. But...

A soft voice whispered in her ear.

"Nae Sarang ..."

Hyun Bin?

He's home?

She was not sure at the moment. Maybe it's a dream?

She brought herself closer to her husband again. Feel the warmth of her husband's embrace that gives heat to her body.

She felt contented in her husband's tight embrace.

She was still sleepy. She closed her eyes and then she fell asleep again.

She's smiling in her sleep.

'Everything is okay.'

This is the last thing Ye Jin remembers before she falls asleep. She doesn't have to worry anymore.

She is safe in her husband's arms!
