29. The Reason (Present)

While in London, Ye Jin was so depressed by the actions of Hyun Bin's family. She came from afar to be with her beloved husband. She wants to deliver the good news that she is pregnant with Hyun Bin's child. However, she could not meet face to face with Hyun Bin.

Ye Jin waited until Hyun Bin came home. When Hyun Bin and Mama Hyun return, they bring a lawyer to solve Ye Jin's case. She listens to all their conversations. She wants Hyun Bin to look at her and talk to her from heart to heart. She hopes that Hyun Bin will be soft-hearted when he looks at her face. Then she can tell about herself who is already pregnant with his child. But Hyun Bin did not give Ye Jin a chance.

Ye Jin immediately made a decision. There is no point for her to stay there anymore if this is the way Hyun Bin treats her. She also overhears Mama Hyun telling Papa Hyun that Hyun Bin does not want this marriage anymore. It's useless for her to plead.

They want to give compensation money to pay back for the service that Ye Jin has given to Hyun Bin all this time. The ego of Hyun Bin's family that can't accept the poor woman who is trying hard to find a way to recover Hyun Bin from illness. Ye Jin feels insulted to be treated in such way.

Ye Jin wants to leave without taking the cheque. She decided to return to South Korea at the same time. She will raise her own child alone without Hyun Bin. She does not need the money that they offer.

Ye Jin was aware at the time that the cash she was carrying may not be enough for her to buy a plane ticket to return to South Korea. She doesn't mind if she has to wash the toilet in London as long as she can buy the ticket. She will not ask for their help.

Incidentally Ye Jin saw a marriage contract on the table. She remembered the terms of the agreement signed. She realizes that she has no right on Grandma Hyun's property and money. That means the allowance that she got all this time will also be stopped. But she doesn't care about that money. She doesn't need all that. She can find a way to make a living for herself.

Suddenly she remembered the child in her womb. She's so scared! If she and Hyun Bin split up, she would lose custody of her child! That is what was written in the marriage contract.

No! Ye Jin will not allow that to happen. They can't take her child. It's better for they do not know about her unborn child.

Ye Jin decided not to return to South Korea. She must go far away to bring herself. They must not know about the existence of her child. If she returns, they will know about her child. They will seize it. There is nothing left for her.

There is also Ye Jin thinking, maybe the best thing to do is to stay with her husband. It doesn't matter if Hyun Bin does not want to be with her, at least her child will get to know her father and live in luxurious life. But her heart could not accept. She wants to be loved.

Hyun Bin's family will always find a way to get rid of her. If not now, then maybe they will try in the future. What if her child is also not loved by her father and her grandparents?

If Ye Jin told Hyun Bin at that time that she was pregnant, maybe they thought this was a trick of her so as not to be thrown away by them at that time. She is unwilling to be accused by them anymore.

Ye Jin knew she had to run away and get away from that boastful Hyun Bin's family. She will take her baby away from them all forever. She will raise her own child alone.
