I sat in the stool in my parents kitchen staring off in space.
"Earth to Tamari." Tiana waved her hand in my face catching my attention.
"What's wrong with you?" My dad asked and I smacked my lips.
"Ain't nothing wrong with me." I said with a large sigh.
"Yes it is his ass mad cause Brianna told him no when he asked her out." Trey said and I looked at him.
He quick to rat me out but I ain't never opped on that nigga.
"You asked Brianna out?" My mom asked coming behind my dad holding trey daughter diamond.
"Yea and she said no and gave me back the ring I gave her." I said and my uncle Ryan started to laugh making everybody look at him.
"Why are you laughing?" Yoni asked him.
"Because he mad he got rejected like it's not a million other girls in the world." He said.
"Brianna not like them though she different." I said and he smacked his lips.
"No she allowed you to think that she was but trust me women deserve less I read a book about them and they not no better then us." He said and his wife frowned at him.
"Except Yoni you different I love you." He said and she rolled her eyes.
"You read?" My mom asked him making everybody laugh.
"Yes I read Monae do you read?" He asked her and she nodded her head as she laughed.
"Your so stressed out your waves gone you almost have a full blown Afro." My mom said and I begun twisting my hair.
"But listen to me if she don't want you move on get back with Kiara or something." He said and my dad chimed in.
"Don't listen to Ryan if that's who you want chase what you want." He told me.
"I did chase her for 3 months and she said she ain't want me still when I asked her ." I told him.
"What was her reasoning?" Yoni asked me.
"She said something about us being better off as friends and she didn't want to ruin the bond or get hurt." I said.
"I mean Tamari you do have a reputation of being a hoe so her reasoning wasn't to bad." Alysa said.
"I was loyal to her during the talking stage for 3 months." I said.
"Don't listen to them listen to me." Ryan said and my dad smacked his lips.
"If you take advice from Ryan you just as dumb as he is." My dad said and Ryan gasped.
"No if you take advice from yo daddy you a bigger idiot then I think you are." He said and I frowned.
"Just get back with Kiara she always around anyways and you guaranteed can get her to date you ." Ryan said to me.
"I don't like her." My mom said.
"Neither do I shes weird faking pregnancies." Tiana said.
"You should really just talk to Brianna I'm pretty sure she's thinking about you as hard as your thinking about her." Tiana added.
"How would you know?" I asked her.
"She don't know, team Kiara." Ryan said and everybody shushed him.
"Because she was my friends before she was yours and Brianna good at hiding emotions and if she wasn't feeling you she wouldn't have your pictures still on her Instagram or posting relationship quotes." She said.
"Listen to your sister." My mom shrugged.
"Listen to uncle Ryan because what Tiana just said made no sense." Trey said.
I sighed and out my head in my hands. Was she really thinking about me?

Brianna pov:
I sat in the abortion clinic with nijah as thoughts from last month filled my mind.
I haven't heard from Tamari since the day I turned him down and I wanted to see how he was doing since he hasn't been active on any of his socials.
"You think Tamari ok?" I asked nijah and she looked up from a magazine at me.
"If all you gone do is talk about him why would you tell him no when he asked you out?" She looked at me and I shrugged.
I didn't regret my decision but at the same time I did because of my decision me and him loss complete contact.
"Why you just don't try to text him?" She asked me.
"Because I don't know." I said honestly.
"You know you like him I don't even know why you making yourself suffer like this." She said.
Before I could respond her name was called. We walked to the doctor who called her and followed her to the room.
"Okay this procedure will take 5 hours and 17 hours of healing are you sure this what you want to do?" She asked nijah who nodded her head.
She decided to get a abortion so she wouldn't be selfish to alysa who didn't deserve what she was going through.
"Okay ma'am we're going to need you to leave the room and she'll be able to call you when finished." She told me.
"Be careful I love you." I told nijah giving her a hug and leaving out.
I pulled my phone out contemplating to text Tamari or not and just decided to get on Instagram.
I scrolled through people stories until I seen one of her and Tamari.
He was sleep in between her legs and laying on her chest and she was rubbing his waves.
I looked at the caption that said "I love rubbing my hand through my mans hair." And gasped.
Tamari doesn't waste time moving on and maybe I shouldn't either.
