2 month laters.....
"When do you find out the gender for the baby?" Nijah asked Brianna as she poured her some cereal.
"I can find out at my next appointment today since I'm three months pregnant." Brianna said scratching her head.
"Are you going to have a gender reveal?" Nijah asked and Brianna shook her head.
"No, that's for babies who have both parents I never seen a single parent have a gender reveal." Brianna said as her mom walked in.
"Well you will be the first single parent to do it then." Her mom said and she looked up at her.
"I don't want to have a gender reveal." Brianna said as she ate her cereal.
"Look I'm not happy your pregnant and I'm even more pissed that it's by that boy and he won't claim your child, but I'm not letting you go through this pregnancy depressed that's not happening." Her mom said.
"When you go to the appointment today have them put the gender in an Envelope and give it to me I'll handle everything from there." Her mom said and Brianna nodded her head.
"I think my niece in there." Nijah said smiling and rubbing Brianna small round baby bump.
"I hope not I want a boy he'll be easy to raise alone all I got to worry about is haircuts but with a girl it's the whole 9." She said fanning herself.
"Well I'm just praying for a healthy baby but I agree with nijah it's most definitely a girl." Her mom said.
"I have to get to work let me know how the appointment goes." She said leaving out.
"You talked to Tamari?" Nijah asked and she rolled her eyes.
"No I haven't talked to that bitch ass nigga fuck him." She snapped.
"I'll never in my life rekindle a relationship with him and that's on my unborn child." She said and nijah sat quiet.
"Even Ty called and checked up on me making sure I was doing good, he doesn't know I'm pregnant but damn you the father of my child Tamari."
"I bet if I called that nigga and say I want some dick he'll be here fast as fuck."
"And when my baby born I don't want that nigga around it period." Brianna said putting her bowl in the sink.
"What you gone do about your living situation?" Nijah asked.
"I don't know I asked my mom about it and I said I wanted to get a job but she said no and that after I have my child I can get a job."
"But I want to leave North Carolina I like my life in Atlanta but I know that's not gone happen." She said.
"Niggas ain't shit but it's okay you got me and you know I'm god mommy for life." Brianna said standing up hugging her bestfriend.
"I honestly thought I was going to be the one to have the first child." Nijah said.
"I did too but I guess god has other plans." Brianna said.
"So you got any names picked out?" Nijah asked Brianna.
"If it's a girl I want to name her brandy and if it's a boy then Bryson after my daddy." She said shrugging.
"That's cute." Nijah said.
"You coming to me to my appointment?" Brianna asked her bestfriend.
"Nah I would but omari planned us a date." She said and Brianna nodded her head.
