Brianna pov:
I walked in my house closing the door seeing my mom walk towards her room.
"Hey bri." She turned to me but frowned.
"You been crying?" She asked me and I shrugged.
"What you doing home so early ?" I asked her.
She was suppose to come back two days from now.
"I decided to surprise you but baby what's wrong?" She asked me as I hung the keys up.
"Momma don't be mad but I did something dumb." I told her and she folded her arms.
"You pregnant?" She asked me.
"No." I quickly said.
"Then why have you been crying?" She said walking in her room and I followed.
"Tell me." She said sitting on her bed crossing her legs and I sat in front of her.
"I made a very stupid decision." I said and she waited for me to continue.
I broke down the story to her and she looked at me in concern.
"So and you gave him your virginity so he wouldn't break up with you when you left and Tamari found out you were leaving and broke up with you anyways?" She asked as I dried my face.
"That and because I thought I was ready." I said.
"Brianna what would ever make you think that was a good idea?" She asked.
"Mom I don't know ." I said.
"I don't even think I did it for him or me I think I did it because of Kiara." I said and she frowned.
"Who?" She asked.
"His ex, she works for him and always answering his phone and stuff and he says they have nothing going on and I don't believe him." I told her.
"So how was you having sex with him because of Kiara?" She asked me.
"Because I put myself in competition with her because that's his first love, first body all that, every first I have with him he already had it with her." I said.
"I even told him not to talk to her and he still did then called me insecure when I was about to fight her for answering his phone." I ranted.
"Fight her? Brianna that's not you at all." My mom said.
"I know but something about Tamari just changes me." I said.
"Well honestly I think you should've been let him go when he didn't respect your wishes of stop talking to her, you wouldn't be going through all this heartache." She started.
"Matter fact you wouldn't be going through all this if you listened to your momma when I told you to stop talking to him when he made you sit on the couch and took that girl to his room to sleep with him." She continued.
"I'm stuck in a hard place right now I don't even think college the answer." I said laying back on the bed.
"Either college or being homeless cause you getting the hell outta my house you grown Brianna." She said.
"And you need to start acting like it, you are full woman now and you need to start carrying yourself and making decisions like your one:" she said.
"You need to go to college get your degrees and become a surgeon like you said you would, if you and Tamari meant for eachother which I doubt y'all are, y'all will meet later on in life." She said.
I sat up giving her a hug and she returned it.
"Bri you lost focus you need to find it again and Do what's best for YOU not what's best for HIM." She said and I nodded my head.
I went to my room and reached under my bed grabbing that box of condoms and took it outside throwing it in the trash can.
I went back inside to the kitchen grabbing a garbage and then to my room looking at pictures that hung in a heart of me and Tamari and took them down throwing them away.
I went in my closet grabbing all his hoodies and other stuff I stole from him throwing it away too.
My mom was right I lost focus and for now college my number one priority.
