"Fuck you."

Sorry, it's been a while. I think it's only fair to make this chapter a bit longer to apologize. I've been busy doing whatever and worrying about everything going on in the world. I'm sorryyy.

Chapter Nines

Gavin’s POV
I hummed quietly as I woke up, attempting to stretch my limbs. Confusion swam over me as I realized something wrapped around my waist prevented such movement.

“What the…,” I  mutter, struggling against the hold to spin myself around.

I come face-to-face with Nines. My face turns red as my eyes can’t help but wander along his face. He had this peaceful and calm expression, pressing his lips together from time to time. For once his hair wasn’t perfectly styled. Instead, it was a slight mess against his forehead. His LED was a faded blue to show he wasn’t powered off completely but wasn’t exactly fully powered on. I was quite proud to see he didn’t look perfect for once. That had to be a big reason for why I hated- HATE androids. They were always so perfect and it irritated me greatly. That wasn’t my main focus, however. What the absolute FUCK was he doing it my bed!? My first reaction was to scream, kick, and flail my arms around. Continuing to scream, I kicked the droid in the chest as hard as possible, sending him flying off the bed and peering over the edge to look at him.

“What!? What’s the situation!?” Nines said in a slightly higher voice than his normal volume, sitting up as soon as he made contact with the floor. His eyes scanned the room as he searched for some kind of threat. When he couldn’t find anything his eyes landed on mine and his body relaxed. “Good morning Gavin.”

“Good morning!? GOOD MORNING!? What the phck are you doing in my bed!?”

He blinked. “You told me I could stay.”

    “No the phck I-”

I cut myself off. Memories from last night were slowly coming back to me. I must have gotten drunk since it took some time for me to remember the events that took place. I HAD to be drunk if I let Nines spend the night in my bed. I would never let him if I was in my right mind.

“I’ll make breakfast,” Nines says, getting to his feet and leaving the room.

I couldn’t help but feel the slightest pang of guilt. That had to be a rude awakening and I was still debating whether this tin-can had feelings or not. He showed signs of having emotions here and there but he was an android. He wasn’t alive. I shake my head, clearing my head of the thoughts only for another to form. I didn’t have a nightmare. I had made it through the night without even waking up once.  I couldn’t even say whether or not it was from the embrace or if it was from Nines himself. For an android made to be intimidating, he was calming. His voice alone was soothing and seductive. His eyes inflicted fear but once you were close and comfortable with him, instead of fear it sent a warm feeling through your body.

‘What the hell am I thinking!?’

I groan and get dressed, pulling on my famous brown jacket. Stepping out of the room, I’m welcomed with the greatest smell ever. I curiously stroll into the kitchen where Nines is preparing something.

Nines Pov
Gavin shuffles in the room, fully dressed. His head is tilted up as I can only assume he’s taking in the delicious smell of the food I’m making. He creeps over almost like a dog sliding in the kitchen while knowing it’s not supposed to be there. I feed him an omelet, straightening up the house while he eats and feeding the cats. Out of the corner of my vision, I can see Gavin glancing at me, even staring from time-to-time. At one point I return the look and he instantly looks away, a red tint decorating his face. The ride to the police department is silent but comfortably so. When we enter the building Gavin heads off to the breakroom for coffee while I sit at my respective desk.
