Yet another part

"Fuck you."
By, Lucky Green.

Light regret runs over me and I set the book down.

“No. I just wanted to see your reaction.”

Gavin snarls and pushes away from me. “Phck you! You're such an asshole! Suck a dick!”

“Are you offering?”

Gavin growls despite his flushed expression and backs away from me. “No, phck you. You're an asshole.”

I reach out for him, making the ‘gimme gimme’ hands a toddler would do to their parents in want for something. Gavin hisses at me and inches back. I press forward, crawling toward him. He scoots away from me each time, eventually backing into a corner. “Get the phck away from me.” He backs up again and goes over the side, yelping in surprise. I peer over the edge at him. “Are you ok, Gavin?”

“What do you think?” he snaps, standing up and brushing himself off.

“I would say your rather fine ;)”

Gavin steps back and crosses his arms over his chest. “Move. I wanna get back on.” I reverse and he starts climbing back onto the bed. Seeing as his mind was occupied with something else I took my chance to grab his upper arm, dragging him into my hold on my lap facing me in the position he was in when he tried to get my attention. Him being him, he of course fights against me. “Lemme go! Phck off already!”

“Save your energy and give up. I always win these.” This only makes Gavin fight harder but as stated beforehand he eventually becomes tired and goes limb. His hands press against my chest and his eyes gaze away from me while I rest my hands on his hips. “I told you.”

“Shut up, asshole...” he mumbles.

I pull him into a passionate kiss, the aftertaste of chocolate and a small cup of recent coffee lingering in his breath. I lick his bottom lip in wish for entrance, exploring his mouth afterwards. I move my thumb in a circular motion against his hip, feeling at ease with the beat of his heart against my chest and the slight exhales he did. I pull back for him to breath, licking my lips to tease him and get the reaction I’m looking for. He diverts his eyes in embarrassment and slightly wobbles on my hips for a second.“Are you still mad~?”

Gavin softly shakes his head and snuggles against me on my lap. I hold him within an embrace, his right side pressed against my chest. His love to be held was precious. His nature to be around me was pleasant and similar to my need to be near him. It was moments like these where I compared him to how he was behaving now and how he behaves in the police department. There he lashes out, seeming to go to work pre-annoyed. Here, he was nothing more than a child at times, seeking my attention and affection. Gavin pulls out his phone and starts switching between two old games called, ‘Angry Birds’ and ‘Dumb Ways to Die 3’ He always had this triumph expression whenever he passed a level of either game as if proud the in-game characters had nothing against him. I returned to reading my book to pass the time until we had to get ready for the party. It was exactly three thirty-six, the party being at eight o’ clock. Gavin’s resting levels had become incredibly low at four fifty-one. He drowsily plays Crossy Road, only lasting for a minute or two before dying. I let him go as he begins sitting up, yawning, and starting to crawl to the edge of the bed.

“I’ll be back. I’m gonna get a coffee.”

I perk up at this news and grab his hips, dragging him back toward me. “Oh no you don’t. I told you beforehand you weren't going to do that anymore. Instead, you can take a nap.”

“What? Let go! I can do what I want!” I keep hold of him, waiting for him to finish his tantrum. I thankfully didn’t have to wait long being that his lack of sleep had a big impact on him. “Fine, ok, whatever. I’ll go to sleep ok tin-can!?” I nod but hesitate to release him in case he planned on making a break for the kitchen. Shockingly, he doesn't and wearily rubs his eyes. He seems to rub his eyes a bit too hard and looks dazed for a second, like he was seeing stars. He rubs his eyes again, yawning once more. “I’ll take a nap if…” I raise an eyebrow and he turns away. “...you lay down with me.”
