Shawn's P.O.V:
After a week, Ashley can come back to school. She spends time laying on bed and crying. I help her with school things but she doesn't want to go there, meet other people.
On Friday, she calls me and asks if I can come to her and talk to her. Of course I say yes. She's my girlfriend, I need to take care of her. I need to be there for her.
"Ashley, you need to go to school. Everybody there is worried and asks me how are you feeling. You can't hide forever" I say.
"So Matt cares too?" She asks.
"Nope. But other people for sure" I sit next to her. She puts her head on my shoulder.
"I am not ready. We have a health class today and-" She starts sobbing. I put a kiss on her cheek.
"Don't worry, you will get this through, you have to" I say, motivating her.
"You're right. I have to fight it. I have to be strong. For us" She looks at me. "I love you" And then she kisses me on my lips.
She takes a backpack and we go, hand in hand, to the school.

And here we have. Health class. We arrive around 10 minutes before the bell. Ashley seems to be scared, sad and broken. I want to hold her small, cold hand, but she turns away. I see Kaitlin coming to us.
"Hey Ashley, how are you feeling? It's good to see you back at school" She says to Ashley but she doesn't reply or even turn around.
"I'm sorry for her. She's scared because of the health lesson. It's gonna start in five minutes" I say to Kaitlin.
"It's okay. I understand her"
We talk for the next five minutes and then the bell rings. Ashley as a first person rushes to the classroom. She doesn't want to talk with the nurse, why she acts like that.
"So everybody, I checked your baby projects" I look at my girlfriend who is sitting next to me. She has tears in her eyes. My poor baby. "You all passed it. I will give you the card with how many points did you get from each exercise" The nurse goes all around the classroom, giving each other this card. Then she goes to Ashley's and mine desk and hands us our reports.
"Look Ashley, we did it. Thanks to you I got C- and you - because you are better than me - got B+, isn't it amazing?" I tries to make her smile. Only for a second. I want to see a small smile on her beautiful and small face, which is now whole red. Her eyes are puffy and still filling with tears.
"Shut up Mendes, leave me alone! Don't you understand that I don't want anyone to care about me!? Are you that stupid!?" She yells. Everybody, even Matt is shocked. Well, so am I.
She turns to a nurse. "Miss, can I move to the other seat?" My eyes are wide.
"Sure"
The nurse turns to Kaitlin. "Kaitlin, could you please move to Ashley's seat, which is next to Shawn’s?" She just nods and my girlfriend's best friend sits next to me.
"Do you know what is going on with her right now, she starts acying even worse than before. " She turns to me.
"I don't know, I even didn't say anything bad to her"
"I think that we should be more understanding about whatever is going on with her. I think it might be a depression"
Later, when the bell rings, Ashley runs out of the classroom. When Kaitlin and I come out of ut, we see in the corridor, Ashley's mom. So Ashley was texting her before we came to the classroom and her mom takes her back home.
"Hello Mrs Parker" Kaitlin and I say in the same time.
"Hello Shawn and Kaitlin" She smiles. "I'm gonna take Ashley back home, she texted me that she doesn't feel well"
"I hope she gets better, she doesn't want to talk with us" Kaitlin says.
"Don't worry kids, I will talk to her" She says and leaves with Ashley.
Kaitlin turns to me. "So it looks like we've gonna spend the whole day without her. Would you mind if I sit with you at Physics and Chemistry? I would normally sit with Ash, but she isn't here and I don't want to sit alone"
"Sure" I smile.
