Y/N MAXWELLThe sunlight shining through the window forced my eyes into a wince. Noticing all the red decor around the room immediately brought a smile to my face. Everything that happened yesterday was indeed real, and was not a dream.
My smile extends as I leap out of my bed and walk over to the bathroom where I decided to take a small, quick shower. After I felt fresh and clean enough, I jumped out, dried myself then proceed to dress myself in my Gryffindor attire, wearing my emblem proudly.
"Hermione." I whisper softly, softly shaking my asleep friend until I notice her eyes peel open.
"[Y/n]." She yawned while rubbing her sleep-filled eyes. "Come on. It's our first day. We don't want to be late."
My words instantly brought life to Hermione's sleepy face. The bushy-haired girl hurdled from her bed, before rushing into the bathroom, a laugh exiting my lips as she does so.

"So, what do we have first?" Casey questions as we begin walking to our first classroom.
"Transfiguration." Hermione answers, a happy and excited tone evident in her voice.
My attention turns to the girl who had the biggest smile spread out across her cheeks. "You seem excited."
"Are you not?" Clear enthusiasm lingered in the girls voice as her walking picked up speed, Casey and I having to slightly jog in order to keep up with the eager female.
Though it took a while, we finally reached the Transfiguration classroom with the help from some older Ravenclaw students, who directed us in the right direction.
The classroom was rather full and unfortunately only had tables with two chairs stood in front of them, so while Hermione and I found comfort sat down at a free table, Casey scurried off, finding a seat next to Seamus Finnigan.
Just as class begins, my eyes linger around the room noticing two particular boys who were missing. You'd think that new students would try to be as punctual as possible on their first day and avoid showing up to their first lesson late.
"Welcome everyone, to your first class of Transfiguration." McGonagall's voice snapped me right out of my small daydream, the lesson commencing shortly after she gave a brief rundown of today's lesson plan.
The work wasn't difficult but it was definitely something else. Never would I have ever thought that Transfiguring had its own alphabet, but here we are, learning this much needed wizardry tool.
Five minutes had gone by, my eyes widening as I witness McGonagall transfiguring herself into a small feline before perching herself up on top of her desk - leaving me completely flabbergasted.
Maybe one day I'll be witty enough to conjure myself into such animals. That'd be so surreal.
Just as my focus returns back onto my parchment, the sound of the room's door slamming open stole my attention almost instantly. Harry alongside Ron, ran into the room, two sighs of relief filling the air from both boys.
"We made it." Ron exclaims with joy, grateful that their arrival to class wasn't at all late, though, his assessment was completely wrong.
