Y/n's POV"Y/n!" A voice shouts out, making me open my eyes quickly, which was a bad idea because the sun was shining in my face.
"Mum?" I ask, blinking rapidly, trying to adjust to the sunlight.
"It's Christmas! We were expecting you to wake us up like you usually do. You know jumping all over the bed and screaming 'It's Christmas'." She laughs, recollecting every time I had done that in the past.
I jump out of my bed and run straight downstairs, not before hearing my mother asking me to slow down.
"Early bird, catches the worm!" I call out as I sit on my knees in front of the Christmas tree, in the middle of our lounge room, which was full of presents.
My mother laughs, and slowly walks downstairs but stops for a second.
"Honey, are you okay?" My father asks, walking up the stairs to help her down.
She looks at me smiles, then turns to whisper something in my dad's ear. He nods and disappears upstairs.
"Where's dad going?" I ask, curiosity taking over.
"He's just retrieving another gift we forgot to put under the tree." My mother answers with a warm smile. She walks over to me and takes a seat next to me on the floor.
A few minutes later, Dad comes downstairs with nothing in his hands.
"I'm sorry I couldn't find it, dear." He apologises, but Mum just shakes her head and pats the floor next to her, which Dad doesn't hesitate to take.
"Okay, let's rip open some presents," Dad says.
The three of us begin unwrapping our presents; my parents even helped me with a few of mine.
At the end of the unwrapping, the living room was full with colourful wrapping paper everywhere.
I got many presents from friends and family, such as; many new clothes from my Parents, Aunts and Uncles. From Hermione, I had gained five books, one about Magical Creatures, two for Potions, one for Quidditch and Hogwarts: a History. Ron had bought me a beautiful charm with a red stone engraved in it, and I got one more present, from an unknown sender, it's a bracelet with a beautiful green heart attached to it.
"That is beautiful." My mother says, "Who gave it to you?"
"Doesn't say," I answer, quite disappointedly. I grab Ron's charm and attach it to the bracelet I got.
"Y/n has a secret admirer." My mother hums, making my eyebrows furrow. I never really thought about 'relationships' or 'dating' or even having a 'boyfriend or girlfriend'.
"Yeah, no. Not happening." My father quickly adds on, destroying the conversation in an instant.
"Anyway, we've got one more present for you." My mother says, looking at my father.
My dad pulls out a blindfold from his pocket and places it over my eyes.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"We are getting your present," Dad answers as he tightens the blindfold around my head.
I could hear the sound of a ribbon and some sticky tape, which was kind of odd.
