Y/n's POV"It's just me!" Malfoy whisper shouts, defensively raising his hands.
"Just you." I roll my eyes, placing my wand back in my pocket, looking back to my work that still doesn't make any sense to me.
It goes silent for a few minutes. He stands still looking at me whilst I scribble over the page in a frustrated manner.
I groan, "what do you want, Malfoy?"
He stays silent, looking into my eyes. Realisation kicking in, I quickly search the room for his friends—or at least anything that looks like 'payback.'
"There's no one else here. Just us." The boy says, taking a seat next to me.
I scoff, "I prefer to be alone when studying so shoo."
"What is your problem? I just came to tell your stupid arse that it's past curfew." He rolls his eyes, "wouldn't want you to get petrified again."
"What?"
"I-I... Reed." He was a mess. I tried inviting him to a 'Maxwell is dead,' dance party, last year. He refused, of course." Malfoy answers, and to be honest I couldn't tell if he was lying or not—because that does seem very... Malfoy.
A smile cracks its way onto my face, which shortly turned into me giggling. Looking into his eyes, I had noticed him shake a small grin off his face.
"How did you know I was here?" I change the subject quickly, shaking off any sign of amusement.
"I fell asleep too. Over there." He says casually, pointing over to the far end of the library, "I also had a bizarre dream."
"What about?" I question, packing up all my papers. I didn't really feel like rushing, because it felt nice having a somewhat civil conversation with the blond.
"Nothing. It was just weird."
"Tell me." I pressure.
"No."
"Tell me, or I'll tell everyone that you peed your pants running from the Forbidden Forest in first year," I smirk, looking into his eyes.
"Yeah, well I'll just debunk the rumours." He says, leaning in closer to my face.
"Will you now?" I egg on, leaning closer into his. My heart was pounding out of my chest; I was confident he could hear it.
"Yeah, I will." He leans closer, moving a strand of my hair out of my face—both of us only inches away from each other's lips.
"Draco..." I whisper. That being one of the first times I've said his first name.
"Let it happen." He whispers.
The both of us lean in closer, closing our eyes. Our lips only centimetres away from each other, when the door of the library slams open, making the both of us jump back.
"Mr Malfoy, Miss Maxwell, you are well aware that curfew passed almost two hours ago?" Snape's monotone voice speaks up, giving me chills.
