Y/n's POV

The following day after my detention was rather dull. I wasn't at all excited about going to Hogsmeade, which was in a few days, and it was rather odd because two days prior Casey and I were blowing each other's ears off about visiting the village. I guess the events from that night in detention was weighing me down.

Nearing the end of breakfast, Seamus, Casey and I had just finished talking about all the different types of sweets we could buy at Honeydukes. That was until Casey turned and looked at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"Y/n, what's that?" She points at the side of my face.

"Hm? What's what?" I question, stroking my hand along my jaw.

"You've got a bruise on your jaw."

My eyes widen, and I abruptly stand out of my seat, covering the area with my hand, "I will be right back."

I jog out of the Great Hall, pushing past multiple students, making my way to the female's lavatory.

"Y/n?" Aiden grabs hold of my arm, stopping me from moving, "What's wrong? Are you okay? What's wrong with your cheek?"

"Not now, Aiden. I just need to use the bathroom." I push his hand off my arm and continue to make my way towards the girl's bathroom. Aiden's footsteps could be heard from behind me, indicating that he had indeed followed me.

I quickly open the bathroom door, stepping inside and slamming the door shut. Aiden begins knocking on the door, "Y/n, what's wrong?"

"Aiden, just go away. I want to be left alone!" I call out, holding the door shut so he couldn't barge in.

"Let me help you." He continues to knock on the door. I quickly lock it stepping back, turning to look at myself the mirror, as Aiden begins slamming the door, trying to break in.

Meeting my own e/c eyes in the mirror, tears begin welling up in them, as I look at the side of my face, that had a very noticeable bruise on it. After a few minutes the door slams open and in walks Aiden. He slowly walks over to me as I begin to cry.

He delicately raises his hand, gently touching my shoulder as I sob. His eyes evert from my red eyes to the side of my face.

"Who the fuck did this to you?" He says, rage slowly filling his voice as he cups my cheeks, turning my face to the side.

"I-I really don't want to talk about it..." I sob, placing my head on his chest, allowing him to wrap his arms around my waist... the same way Draco did.

"Oh, baby girl." He whispers in my ear, making butterflies fly. He pulls back cupping my cheeks again and looking into my glistening eyes, "I promise to you, Y/n, I will always be here to protect you."

He pulls me closer, kissing my forehead, "I promise."

After I finished containing myself, both Aiden and I exit the lavatory, his arm wrapped around my shoulder; it didn't seem like he had any intention of letting go. I begin looking around the castle like I had many times before, then I suddenly halt, staring up at the person who gave me the bruise.

"Y/n, what are yo—" Aiden cuts himself off, turning his gaze up towards the same person I was staring at. I felt the word begin to spin, and the urge to vomit began to arise.

"Did he..?" Aiden grabs hold of my face, turning to look at my bruise, then snapping his head in the direction of the blond, "Malfoy!'

Aiden removes his hand from my shoulder, walking over to Malfoy with his teeth clenched and his fists balled.
