Death and Funeral Notice
Imelda Tolentino, a long-time resident of the San Vicente area, died Wednesday the 8th of May at Saint Benedict Healthcare Center.
Born in 19** in Jacinto, S.D., Imelda received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from State University of the North in 19**. She continued her education at the same institution, from which she received her M.Ed. in Nursing in 19**.
Imelda taught Nursing at the State University of the North at San Vicente in the mid-1960s and worked at various psychiatric nursing facilities in the 1970s. In a career shift, she took a position as a librarian assistant at Douglas Caballero Technical School, where she worked until her retirement.
Imelda loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
