***A/N: Hi! So, I've gotten better at using a more variety of characters. Yay! This one is about Toph, everyone's favorite earth bender! There's also another character in here, I wonder if you can guess who it is? ;) And no, it's not Sokka. Anyways, all of this is created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Thank you for reading this! I will always appreciate your support! Enjoy!***
Toph Beifong was confused. She was very confused.
In all of her 17 years of life, she had never come across such an interesting, but weird, boy.
Of course their was Sokka, and he was pretty strange. But this boy seemed to hit the mark, and then keep climbing.
She liked it, but, of course, she would never tell him that.
It was a normal day at the metal bending academy. Lots of yelling, a couple of tears, and tons of bruises.
Toph's skin was itching profusely, her eyes twitching, even though she couldn't see a thing.
The day was uneventful, and it worried her. Never in the past few years had Toph not had a day where something exciting happened.
But that day had finally caught up to her, trying to kill her from the inside out.
"Ugh!" Toph grabbed her hair and gave it a good tug, shifting her feet to try and pick up any unusual movement. Nothing.
Toph stood up, concluding that if nothing was going to happen, then she would make something happen. And may luck be with whoever was in the vicinity, because they were about to experience a lot of pain.
Then he showed up.
Toph was about to send a rock up one of her pupils behind when she sensed footsteps right outside the entrance, the person taking his sweet time as he leisurely strolled into the academy.
Toph turned, her eyebrows raised and her arms crossed, impatiently tapping her foot against the wooden floor.
He was tall, that was sure. Towering over her as he walked through the door, eyeing the academy uncertainly mixed with the smugness radiating off of him.
"Well, are you just going to barge in and look around?" Toph asked suddenly.
The guy turned towards her, running his fingers through his messy dark brown hair, his other hand resting casually in his trouser pocket.
"Maybe." he said, shrugging.
Toph felt her cheeks reddening as he smirked at her.
Toph grunted, turning her head away. "Don't try that stuff on me, pretty boy. I'm blind." Toph pointed to her eyes casually, tired of having to point this out to everyone she met, usually followed by a sorrowful intake a breath or a pitiful muttered apology.
"So? I've heard that disabilities only make you stronger."
Toph sharply turned her head, gaping at the man who was now leaning nonchalantly against the wall.
"I'm guessing I'm right, then?" he said, the smirk forming once more on his face as he looked at the paintings hanging on the wall.
Toph quickly closed her mouth, turning away.
"If you're theory's correct, you should watch out." Toph gritted out, blowing her bangs out of her face.
"Feisty. I like it."
Toph ground her teeth together, digging the heels of her feet into the ground.
"Listen, kid-"
