Asra walks in front of me, stopping abruptly. I almost bump into him, coming to a halt as I look up. In front of us is a forest, wild flowers in full bloom, a nice welcoming path leading through. I smile as our eyes meet and he returns the smile. "We're almost there." He sais and takes my hand, leading me through. I can smell the sweet scent of chamomile and squeeze Asras hand. He squeezes back and speaks up. "It's great, right?" He asks me and I nod in delight. "It sure is. You chose a great path." I say and he humms. We walk through the greenery for a while before reaching the end of the path. It ends exactly at the brim of the forest, a wide field of gold spread across the horizon. I skip ahead of him, glancing back over my shoulder. He smiles and quickens his pace to keep up with me, but I start to jog, grinning at him competitively. He seems to get where this is going and I run as he runs after me, laughing in delight. But suddenly I'm jumped on from behind, falling into the golden field, away from sight. For a while we just lay there, laughing and catching our breaths, but soon our laughter dies down and we beam at each other happily. "You're something else, Y/N." He huffs, still a little out of breath and I smile, shrugging. "So, how about we rest here for a while? I mean it's a great place for stopping for the night." I say and he seems to think for a while before speaking up. "I mean, yeah we could. But on the other hand, we're only an hour away. We could get there today." He sais and I let out a sigh. "Fiiiine." I say, sitting up, knowing that if I don't get up now, I won't ever. I hop onto my two feet and stretch out my hand for Asra to grab onto. He does and with a hieve I pull him up and into my arms. "I just wanted the moment to last a it longer." I say and he chuckles, his hot breath colliding with my neck. "You can have all the moments with me after we get to our destination." I sigh in defeat and we make our way towards the city that's now visible on the horizon. Vesuvia, our home. I smile at the sight of the palace, towering highly above the city, as if wanting everyone to know how magestic it truly is. Hand in hand we walk towards it, and soon enough we finally reach the gates. I pass through with ease, hence being friends with the guards and everyone knowing who we are. We walk through the city's buzzling streets, looking around the market for a while to find some dinner for today. After we bought some bread we finally, finally start walking towards our shop. I can't contain my grin as I see the entrance from afar, waiting lonely for our arrival. The familiar feeling of the protection charm washes over my hand as I unlock the door and step through with Asra by my side. I stretch and immediately walk over to the fireplace, lighting it with the tip of my finger and preparing some tea in the small kitchenette. The kettle let's out a puff of warm air and I joyfully place it, together with two cups, down onto the coffee table. I beckon Asra over and he sits down in front of me, both of us merrily sipping our tea. The homey feeling is enough to make me feel all the exhaustion I've been trying to hold in wash over me, and I lean against the back of my chair, letting out a content sigh. Asra smiles at me, giving me a knowing look before he yawns, making me yawn too. "We should probably rest soon, seeing as it's already dark outside and we'll have to go the palace tomorrow." He sais and I give him a short nod. "You're right. If we want to look good tomorrow we should get some rest. I don't want Nadia to worry and Julian to run around trying to get me some kinda cure." I chuckle and so does Asra. We get up and walk upstairs into our cozy little bedroom. Tons of pillows and blankets cover the bed, looking comfy as hell. I'm about to fall face first into the fluffy mess but he stops me, pointing to the bed. Upon taking a closer look, I see his snake, Faust laying there in the middle, almost perfectly blending in with the soft scarlet colored bedding. I chuckle tiredly as Asra wakes her and she slides over his arm and down the other, probably looking for a better place to nap. I crawl under the covers and he soon follows, laying down next to me and pulling the blankets over our heads. I smile as I feel the warmth engulf me and snake both of my arms around my lovely boyfriend. He's warm and I smile as he nuzzles into my chest, whispering something alone the lines of "Good night." into it, breathing steadily. I squeeze him gently and close my eyes, enjoying the moment. "Night, Asra." I whisper back, placing one last kiss on top of his head before drifting off into a much earned and anticipated peaceful sleep.
