"How about we get some fresh pumpkin bread from the market for lunch?" I sit up in excitement. "Only if we drink some tea from the shop too." I say and he nods. "I really missed having brunch with you.""Me too." I say with a warm smile, slowly sitting up in bed. He stands, reaching a hand out for me to take and with a swift fluid motion pulls me up onto my feet. I chuckle as I fall against his chest, my heartbeat fastening. But I quickly regain my senses and let go, feeling a slight blush creeping up my neck. He seems to notice the now awkward tension between us and smiles bashfully at the floor beneath us. "We should get ready then." He sais and I nod, watching him as he grabs a few clothes from his wardrobe and exits to the restroom. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and clasp my hand to my chest. My heart is exellerated and I feel a tingly sensation in my abdomen. I'm starting to understand now. I should have seen it a long time ago, but I didn't really stop to think about it until I started to miss him. Miss his smile, the way his eyes spark after every bite of pumpkin bread, his laugh ringing through the air, his gaze. I love him and there's no denying it. I feel a rush of giddyness and adrenaline rush through me at my new found revelation and I quickly change. Asra arrives in the doorframe just as I fling my bag over my shoulder. Faust, as always, is curled around his neck, but the look she gives me, almost smiling, tells me she knows something. "What is it? You seem to practically be glowing today." Asra comments on my constant unwavering smile and I shrug at him. "Come on, I can't wait to get the bread." I say and Asra smiles at me before I dash down the stairs past him. The trip to the market is spent in silence, this time it's comfortable and leaves me time to think things over. All of a sudden I feel self conscious, feeling a nice warm feeling spread through me every time I steal glances at him. I decide to break the silence, wanting to hear his voice after a month of not having it. "So how was your trip? Saw anything interesting?" I ask and he humms in thought. "Ah, I encountered a friendly merchant on my way to the East. He sold quite the oddities if you ask me." He sais with a glint in his eyes and I nod, completely focusing on his words. "I bought a few rare herbs from him, also some other things." The way he mischievously smiles my way sends shivers down my spine and I feel curiosity bubble up inside me. "Like what?" I press and he shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly. "If it isn't my two favorite magicians! Here for your fair share of pumpkin bread?" The baker's voice booms over from his shop and we hurry over, greeting him merrily. "Asra! Good to see you! How was your trip? I see you came back in one piece!" He sais with a hearty laugh and Asra gives him a grin. "Yes. It was great, you know I always try to stay out of harms way." We talk for a while before we pay for the food, the baker insisting we take another one for free. We thank him multiple times before turning back towards the shop. My mind keeps drifting off to what other things Asra might have bought from the merchant and before I know it we stand in front of the shop. "Y/N is everything alright? You've been spacing out on the whole way back." I shake my head. "Sorry, I was just lost in my head." He nods slowly, still not completely satisfied with my answer. We walk inside and I immediately tend to the table, setting it with tea cups, plates and a cutting board for the bread. I walk into the kitchen to brew some tea, but Asra rounds the corner at the same time and I bump into his chest for the second time today. My heartbeat picks up as I'm frozen in place, slowly lifting my gaze up to meet his. His eyes hold the stars, sparkling in a way unknown to me and I feel myself drawn in. My breath hitches in my throat and I sense as his heartbeat starts to sync with mine. His hands, hanging to his sides, now slowly snake their way up to my hips and I'm left unable to move, as if rooted to the spot. My hands, previously helplessly pressed against his chest, now move up so my fingers can graze the softness of his cheek. Before I can even let my gaze wander downwards he beats me to it, his eyes flicking down to my lips before yet again holding my gaze. I swallow in anticipation as I do the same, both of us drawing closer to each other, seeking each other's warmth. He starts to caress my back with one hand, leaving the other firmly on my hip. I continue to stroke his cheek, my other hand sliding over his shoulder for support and more closeness. Without a warning he leans in, crashing our lips together in a smooth motion. I'm so caught off guard that I let out a feeble moan, the force of his lips on mine filling me with the same tingly feeling in the pit of my stomach than before. My hand travels up into his hair, raking my fingers though his white fluffy locks. The moment our lips part he takes a gasp for air before immediately diving back for more. I hang onto him, my heart feeling whole as he pulls me against him, our bodies pressed against each other tightly. He opens his mouth, my tongue sliding in at the opportunity. He moves his arms around my waist, pulling my lower body even closer against him, no space left. Our tongues gently explore each other's mouths and I let out the occasional huff or groan, earning a few from him too. A warm feeling spreads through me and to my crotch. Asra slowly but surely leads me into the kitchen, his lips never leaving mine. All of a sudden I'm lifted up and sat down on top of the little kitchenette's counter. The kiss gets more heated, more passionate and I can't help but wrap my legs around his waist, pulling him closer, if that's even possible. He moans into my mouth as his hands travel down to my hips. I pull away for a second to breathe and catch a glimpse of his rosy cheeks, eyes a deep purple hue and his mouth agape. Suddenly I'm back to reality and I get flustered, embarrassed as to where the situation has led. "Asra, I-I'm sorry!" I say, wishing I could just disappear into the ground, but Asra caresses my cheek with his hand, the other letting go of my hip. "I...I've waited for this for such a long time...Y/N, I.." Before he can finish I catch his lips with mine and only after we part do I dare tell him. "I love you, Asra." He smiles, unable to speak for a while, but then he suddenly embraces me, burying his face in the crook of my neck. "I love you too, Y/N!" I slowly start to smirk, locking my legs baround his torso and stroking his hair. He looks up at me and I smile. "So..would you like to continue?" I ask him and his eyes widen. But almost immediately he grabs my hand and pulls me off the counter. I do so and follow him as he pulls me after him up the stairs, towards our bedroom and I know that this day will certainly not be dissappointing.
