There's soft knocking at my door. I don't answer it. The knocks grow louder, and more spaced out. Yelling, "Astra! I know you're in there!" An accent floods my ears, but I can't quite put my finger on it. The lock jiggles, signaling that the door will open. I run, but quietly. "You can't hide from me, Astra. I know what you did, and you will pay!" more yelling, and more of that accent. That New York accent. Dallas! My mind races, thinking of all the reasons why he should be here. Oh, shit. It's because of Lacey. Isn't it? I reach for the phone, and I call Darry. "Hello?" Thank god. "Dallas is at my house and I think he wants to kill me!" I whisper-shout, trying not to be too loud. "Please come help!" I say, and hang up. I crawl back to my spot and that's when I hear a noise. "Hello? Is something wrong here?" I see Bob, a Soc. I wave him over, looking around. Dallas must be upstairs. "Dallas Winston is trying to kill me!" I say. "What's going on?!" he asks, glaring at me. "Dallas Winston is upstairs, and he is trying to kill me!" I say again, not caring if he's confused. "Yeah, let's get you out of here then." I nod and thank him. I can't believe Bob Sheldon helped me. A car pulls up, Darry and the rest of the gang. Soda rushes out, "Are you okay? Where's Dallas?" I nod and point to the house. Angered screams come from inside, "Astra I know you're in here!" I shiver. Glass breaks, and doors slam. He really wants me gone. Soda and Darry rush inside. This is going to be fun.

⚠️FIGHTING STARTS IN THIS PART⚠️

"Where are you? Little piece of shit!" he screams. I walk in front of him and say, "What do you want from me Dallas? Revenge? A rebound?" His face hardens. "You had a plan to break Lacey and me up! I'm not stupid Astra!" Dallas yells and backs me into a wall. My head flies backward, and I start to feel dizzy. "What do  y-you want from m-me?" I ask, barely holding myself up. He hits my ribs, and my throat tightens. What happened to Soda and Darry? I clench my fist, gathering up strength. Dallas lowers his face to mine and whispers, "I want you gone,  that's what!" Anger courses its way throughout me, giving me strength. Before I know what I'm doing, my fist lifts and runs straight into Dallas' face. My foot raises and kicks him in the spot. His knees buckle, and his head rolls. I step over the crying boy, the back of my head bleeding. I glance towards my kitchen, and I see two familiar faces. Soda is on top of the counter, and Darry is mending his wounds. Tears spill out of my eyes, and I hear screaming. Then, black.

⚠️FIGHTING IS OVER⚠️

I wake up, my head throbbing, my throat dry, knees weak. The world is spinning, and I feel so dizzy. My vision is blurred, and around three figures are standing there. "What... What's going on?" I ask, not really knowing if I spoke. "Hey, hey I'm here. Calm down!" a familiar voice spoke, and I recognize it as Soda. "Soda...? Is that you?" I stammered. "Yeah, it's me. Pony and Johnny are here too," he spoke slowly, making sure that I understand him. Soda leans down and kisses my forehead. "You'll be all right, don't worry," Johnny states in a matter-of-fact tone. By this time, I can see clearly. "Are you okay Soda? You're hurt pretty badly," I start, but never finish. "Yeah, I'm fine. Lacey, Jules, and Kris are on their way," he answers. I can hear footsteps coming into the room. "Ponyboy, what did I talk to you about? Give her some space! And you, Soda, that I can understand," Darry yells. Although Johnny wasn't yelled at, his eyes grew larger by the second. He became shy and left the room. Darry walks over to me, and whispers, "You'll be all right, kid. Don't worry," he's cut off by three slams of car doors. Soda shoots a signal to Darry, which makes him leave. Soda nuzzles his head in the dip of my neck. I'll be all right. I know I will be.

"Awww! Look at them!" a deep voice coos. "I know right! Kris, grab your polaroid camera!" another says in awe, and I recognize it as Jules. Then there are whispers back and forth, "Is this Dallas' doing?" the girl's voice is low and raspy, and it sounds like she's been crying. It's Lacey. "Yeah, he wants her dead. He's gonna hear some shit from me soon," a masculine voice speaks. It's gotta be Darry. I hear a couple of clicks, and I snap open my eyelids. Four pairs of orbs are staring at Soda and I tangled up together. "Oh! She's awake, finally!" Kris says. "Kris, you have the deepest voice. I'm serious," I laugh and try to sit up. Soda's arms are tightly knit around me, but I slip out of them. He stirs awake, and I whisper softly in his ear, "Hey, time to get up baby." He whines but awakens anyway. "Lacey, are you okay? Have you seen Dallas anywhere? Has he," I speak, but she interrupts me, "I'm all good, no I have not seen him anywhere, and he has not harmed me in any way. Are you okay?" I nod my head and rub Soda's arm. He can tell I'm stressed. "Can you guys give us a couple of minutes?" he asks innocently. "Of course," they say happily. The door closes, and Soda attaches his lips to mine. It lasts a couple of seconds, and he pulls away. "Let's get you changed, baby," he suggests. "I'll take your sweatpants and hoodie, please!" I demand. He stands up, opens a drawer, and throws me some clothes. "Do you need me to help you? Or do you want me to leave?" he questions. "I can do it by myself! Just turn around!" I say. He turns, and I strip off the clothes I have on. The hoodie is halfway on me when I get stuck. "Uhh, Soda, can you help me?" I laugh. "I thought you didn't need help!" he jokes. He turns around and pushes the hoodie down. He makes me sit on the bed, and he pulls the sweatpants up onto me. "Better?" he asks. "Thank you!" I answer, and kiss all over his face. Soda surprises me with a passionate kiss, that says you're welcome. He's lovey-dovey today.

A/N: I'm back guys! How are you? So SO sorry for the wait!
