Chapter 13

Blake's POV

It takes two, baby, it takes two

I sighed as I opened my arms and sang the last line of the song Nichole requested.

I took a bow as the three girls and Ben applauded me.

"That was amazing! I didn't know you can sing" Julianna said as she made her way inside

"Thanks" I smiled blushing a little

"I remember you used to sing to me all the time as kids now you barely sing" Lola whined

"Yeah well it's not my fault you decided to go to a different high school" I shrugged

"How was it kiddo?" I asked Nichole

"Perfect!" She giggled

"Good" I smiled collapsing into a chair

"Blake?" Nichole called me, her voice wasn't chirpy anymore it sounded like she was nervous about something.

"Yeah?" I asked raising my eyebrow

"Would you let me see Emma?" She asked shyly.

I saw Lola quickly look over to me anticipating my answer.

I really shouldn't invite her here. It'll just cause more problems and awkward tension between us. Besides I'm still kinda mad that she asked to kiss me. I'm trying to stay away from her to keep her safe but I can't do that with her kissing me.

I thought over what Nichole asked and mentally rolled my eyes at how selfish I'm being.

Of course she can see Nichole.

"I'll call her right now" I told her taking out my phone as Nichole cheered

I dialed the familiar number and placed the phone to my ear, listening to the consistent low rings.

"Hello?" Emma said answering the phone

"Hi uh so I'm at the hospital right now and Nichole wants you to visit if you're free" I rushed out making Lola laugh at how nervous I probably sounded

"I'll be right over, I have to tell you something about Angie anyway" Emma said

"No don't tell me, it's all about Nichole today ok?" I said sternly in a hushed tone so Nichole wouldn't hear our conversation.

"Blake this is important" Emma urged

"It can wait. Just come over please" I sighed before hanging up the phone.

"So is she on her way?" Nichole asked noticing that I put my phone back into my pocket.

"Yup" I smiled nervously

"How's Trevor Julie?" Lola asked changing the subject clearly noticing my discomfort.

"He's great! I told him my situation and he still likes me for me" She gleamed from her bed

I grunted in my chair making everyone look over at me. Julianna gave me a confused look but shook it off before continuing.

"Anyway, he even offered to keep me company while I get my last chemo treatment. It gets kinda crazy with only my mom so if someone is there with us maybe she'll be calmer" Julie said playing with the ends of her brown wig.

"Has Trevor mentioned anything unusual?" I asked her receiving a 'don't you dare to do this' face from Lola

"Define unusual." Julie said tilting her head a little
