Blake's POV

"So how's everything?" My mom asked trying to spark conversation.

I rolled my eyes and stared out the car window and watched all the various objects fly by.

"I hope you're not ignoring me" My mom warned

"Everything is fine" I sighed putting my feet up on the dash board and plugged in my ear phones tuning her out.

The song 'There for Me' by Youth in Revolt started playing but was soon stopped by my mom who pulled my headphones out of my ear.

"What was that for?!" I whined

"Feet off" my mom said ignoring me

I slammed my feet down on the floor making her shake her head.

"What happened to you? Did you and Emma have a fight or break up?" My mom asked making me groan in frustration

"No mom, Emma is perfectly fine" I said

"Is this behavior because of this dangerous club you're in? I thought you promised that you were going to quit." My mom said turning into the school parking lot.

"I will, ok? Bye." I mumbled as she stopped the car.

"Have a good day sweetie" she said as I opened and closed the door making sure she saw me walk inside the building.

I forgot how much I hated the people in my school. As I made my way down the main hall I felt everyone's eyes glued to me. I heard all the little whispers ripple down saying how I've returned. I ignored them all and walked up the stairs and towards my locker. I took out my phone and quickly texted Frank the school's address before I did anything else.

I decided since I didn't need any books I might as well just take a stroll around the halls. I didn't want to bump into my friends so I stayed on the top floor. As I turned the corner into the Math wing I saw Trevor and Angie whispering. I quickly made myself unknown and stood behind a group of sophomores who seemed to be in their own world. I saw Trevor quietly snap and Angie who just rolled her eyes. Maybe Trevor is buying weed for Angie? I know Angie is messed up but is she a drug addict? It would explain her demented mind but I doubt she's into weed.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket so I backed away from the group of tenth graders. I turned around then proceeded to take out my phone.

From: Frank

5 minutes away.

I didn't reply and tucked my phone back into my jean pocket. I made my way back down stairs and saw Emma looking more beautiful than ever laughing with Henry, Megan, and Eric. It pained me that they were laughing and enjoying their company with out me. I wish I could just go up to them and say hi without them bombarding me with questions. I continued to walk but kept an eye on all of them in the corner of my eye. I noticed Trevor walk down the stairs and make his way towards Emma making me stop dead in my tracks.

I watched all of them exchanged words but none of them were laughing or smiling anymore. It was if they were comforting him. I saw Emma give him a hug right before we made eye contact.

"Blake?" I saw her lips say making me back pedal out of the hall.

I heard everyone's voices call out my name but I quickly rushed out of the hall and out of the school. I saw Frank's car two rows down and quickly dashed to it. I opened the car door and shut it closed.

"Are you ready?" Frank asked as here put the car in drive

"No" I said making him lightly chuckle as I stared out the window and watched Henry run out the school. I watched him scan the parking lot and kick the wall in frustration.
