We had a photographer here taking maternity pictures of Charlotte. I was sitting in the corner in a chair as I just watched. She had her hair curled and it was hanging down her back just like it was the night I first saw her. She was posing in a pair of lace underwear with her shirt pulled up bearing her stomach.

Pregnancy definitely looked good on her. Her belly was perfectly round and her breasts were filling out to be irresistible to me. Charlotte has been reading her pregnancy book out loud to me at night. One of the points it made was that fathers get jealous of the attention being focused on the baby and not on him. I don't know about that, but I will definitely be jealous of her feeding the baby. I wish I could nuzzle up to those bad boys eight to twelve times a day.

About an hour later, the photographer was done and she packed up and left. Charlotte got dressed and we went out shopping to make the baby registry.

Our first stop was at Pottery Barn. We walked through the store and she looked around at everything before deciding on a white and rose gold theme. We looked at the cribs and I had no idea there were so many options.

"I don't like all the wooden slats. I have read reviews from moms who said the babies arm or leg got caught while they were sleeping." Charlotte said as we walked.

"What? Seriously? Thats scary to think about."

"Yeah... Oh! Look there are some with three solid sides!"

We looked a the options and she picked out the one she wanted. "It still has the slats though..." I said worried.

"Yeah, but we will get a mesh bumper for her, and it will keep her arms and legs safe, and since its mesh, we don't have to worry about suffocation." Charlotte said as we walked over towards the chairs.

"....Suffocation... Im sorry, what?" I said stopping her.

"Yeah, the baby will roll over and into the bumper then suffocate. But if it's mesh, it allows airflow, and they are ok." she explained.

I ran my hands through my hair as I huffed out air. "You know, I have been worried about being a dad, but none of this has crossed my mind. This is terrifying." I said.

"Well, that's why we are getting the good stuff that prevents all the scary stuff from happening." She said rubbing my arm.

Charlotte picked out a chair and some other furniture and decorations for the nursery. We didn't put the furniture on the registry because she wanted to get started on it. So we bought everything and scheduled it to be assembled and delivered the next morning.

We then went to Hanna Andersson and I'm pretty sure she scanned the entire store for the registry.

"I have a few more things, but Ill probably order them online." Charlotte said.

"Are you feeling ok? Are you hungry?" I asked her, rubbing her back.

"I'm always hungry." She said.

"What do you want?" I asked, pressing my finger to the sensor on the door handle of the Lexus, unlocking it. I opened the door and helped her into her seat.

"Hamburgers and ice cream." She said without having to think about it.

"Sounds good, Mama." I said as we pulled away.

We went to her favorite burger place and picked up everything she wanted. She said she wanted a burger and ice cream, but we left with burgers, fries, onion rings, macaroni and cheese, fried pickles, potato salad, and ice cream that was loaded down with every available topping.

When we got home, she settled on the couch and propped up her feet on the table. I handed her her burger to keep her happy while I looked through the streaming services for something to watch. As I was flipping through I heard her mumble with a full mouth.
