"Layla!", Eren called out to me and grabbed my hand just as I stepped into my room. I turned to face him, and to my utter disbelief, he had tears running down his face. "Please...don't leave me", he whispered as he pulled out the promise ring and placed it on my table. He hugged me tightly as he cried and I placed my arms around his and said, "Never". He removed himself from my embrace and kissed me deeply. I kissed him back as fiercely as him. Between kisses, he took off my shirt and pants as he pulled his off too. We fell onto my bed as he kissed my neck and throat softly. I clutched him tightly, holding onto him dearly as I shivered from his touches."I love you, Layla Knight, will you be mine?"

I smiled as I snuggled into Eren. He warmly smiled at me and said, "Come on we have to get going, it's almost seven". I laughed and said, "Well too bad I don't have to be anywhere before nine". He smirked at me and said, "Well you do have somewhere to be". With that, he pulled the sheets off of me and carried me to the shower. He turned on the shower and stepped in with me. He grabbed my shower gel and sniffed it and smiled and said, "whenever I see a rose or smell a rose you're always the first thing that comes to mind". I laughed and said, "Rose is my favorite! I use rose everything. Now that's what you're going to smell like too". He chuckled and whispered into my ear, "Now that can be a problem. I'll be distracted the whole day at work if I end up smelling like you". As I dried off and put on my suit for work I looked at Eren who seemed to have a new suit on. "Where did you get that?", I asked motioning the new suit he had on. "Oh, I carry a pair in my car, looks like it came in handy. Let's get going. I thought we'll have breakfast at this cafe I visit. We don't see each other often so, it's a good idea to get together whenever we have the chance".

I could barely control my smile as I entered the lab. Javier was there to greet me as I walked in. "Good morning!", I said cheerfully as I hummed my way into the office. "Good morning. You seem to be in a good mood", Javier replied as he yawned heavily. I smiled and said, "What can I say? I had a good morning". Indeed it was a good morning. I had breakfast with Eren and he kissed me and said he loved me before we parted ways for work. He said he would take me out for dinner today too! As I worked through the morning I went in to check Ellie's situation. To my surprise she was blankly staring at the ceiling. "Hey, is everything fine?', I asked her worriedly. Her face turned to me blankly, "I can't figure this out", she said flatly. I sighed as I dragged her with me to my car. "We're going to go grab some lunch at a nice cafe and then I'm going to drop you off home where you'll take a break. You've been working too much and need a breather to clear your head".

We headed to a local and small cafe that was right by the NSA office. I had been there once with my dad and it seemed like a nice spot plus I had been craving some pie. Ellie looked so exhausted that even I was worried about her. As soon as I walked in Ellie screeched and I put my hand on my gun ready to draw it when she yelled excitedly, "Eren!"

She bounded forward and attached herself to him. Eren who was sitting at a round table with what looked like other NSA employees looked surprised. He patted Ellie's hand awkwardly and his eyes spotted me. I smiled at seeing him and walked forward. He untangled himself from Ellie and pushed his chair back and stepped towards me. To my surprise he enveloped me in a hug and kissed me deeply. His colleagues whistled loudly and I pulled back blushing. "Wow is that Layla, your girl? She's frickin gorgeous!", one of his colleagues said out loud. Eren smiled and the entire table descended in silence. I guess not many people saw him smile. "Yeah this is Layla, the love of my life".

After all this time I finally found what I was looking for. Searching for love wasn't a piece of cake but it was well worth the effort and time. I couldn't be happier spending my life with the one I love.
