The hospital was busy with doctors and nurses rushing back and forth, yelling orders at each other and rushing to complete their tasks. It was a busy day for all of them, seeing as something was happening that had never happened before. A man with black hair and green eyes paced back and forth as he wrung his hands through his short hair, black tendrils of energy seeping out to pat the nearby surfaces nervously before hastily retreating. After around forty minutes of pregnant tension, a nurse meekly stepped out of the room he was in front of, seeming almost submissive as she faced him.
"You can come in now. It's done." She said quietly. The man quickly nodded, and hastily stepped inside to see his ethereal brown-haired and purple-eyed wife holding a small child. He went to the child, and examining its features, asked,
"Boy or girl?"
"Girl." The woman replied. He ran his eyes over the little girl's body, taking one small hand in his with a delicacy that gave away his fear of hurting her.
"She's beautiful, AndSight." Slowly, he lifted his eyes up to the face of his tired wife, and was met with a warm smile, wise eyes crinkling as she held his gaze.
"I know, ShadoeSight." The couple returned their attention to their child, who was starting to whimper and cry. AndSight immediately got to work calming her, cooing and rocking her with the utmost of care.
"What should we name her?" ShadoeSight questioned quietly, not wishing to disturb the baby more.
"Well, I think that her name should start with Fly," She said right before the girl's pupiless eyes (for now) opened. She had deep emerald eyes, making her look much older than she is. "and end with Sight." AndSight said with a laugh.
ShadoeSight caressed his daughter's cheek. "Welcome to the world, FlySight Askatchi." he murmured.

The next day

Destruction lay everywhere. No one, human or Demi, dared to go near the bomb site or into the radiation. A lone figure teleported behind the police tape, the Demis watching him. The unusual Net turned around and waved one black, scaled hand. "I'll bring anything important back!" He called. Rrenka Klu, or Shadoe Horn, was one of the friendliest and most reliable Nets to help in times of disaster like this, due to his abnormality from other Nets. He then turned around and soon disappeared into the area.

Shadoe Horn's POV

I shuddered and wrapped my dark green cape tightly around me, the fleece not helping the chills. I wasn't cold, it was just... eerily quiet. As I kept walking, my pure purple eyes on the ground so far below me, I saw three bodies.
"No, no, gods no," I whispered, letting go of my cape and breaking into a run, since it's dangerous to teleport around in a disaster area. As I went up to the bodies, I felt like crying, even though I physically couldn't. They're dead. The Spirits of the NetWork. Dead. I felt like someone was watching me. I lifted my head and looked around scanning the area around me with a tense gaze.
A cry reached me, and I seeked the source quietly, my eyes eventually falling on the child they had. Her green eyes watched me with genuine curiosity, but mostly fear. I got up, and picked up the kid, rocking her awkwardly, and doing my best to calm her. 'This must be their daughter. I'll name her... what will I name her?'
"Shadoe Horn." I heard the familiar voice, and turned around. AndSight was watching me with translucent violet eyes. The child calmed at her voice, and began reaching out to her mother. "Name her FlyCraft Hacatsna. After the Dark Civil. She can't live in the NetWork, it's too dangerous."
"Living in the OverWorld is dangerous." I argued.
"It's what will have to happen." She whispered before disappearing. I sighed, knowing I would have to carry out this final task from the Dark Spirit.
Eventually I laid the child on the doorstep of a nearby orphanage. She'll be safe here. Under the watch of the Demis, and... them.
"Welcome to this cruel, cursed world, FlyCraft Hacatsna."
I turned and left, everyone watching me as I exited the area. As I kept walking away from the crowd, I could've sworn I saw a pair of bright eyes watching me.
