When someone is sick, you'd usually think they'd stay in bed a day to rest and get better. In your case however, you wanted to play a match so bad that you decided to hide the fact that you were sick.
Not that the people around you didn't know.
Emily kept insisting that you shouldn't join the match because she knew damn well that you were sick and you would probably collapse in the middle of the match.
Emma kept crying as if the fact that you were sick meant you would die in 3 days while Tracy attempted to comfort her and explain how that was almost impossible.
The thing is, you literally cannot stay still for so long that you couldn't stand the idea of staying in bed for one entire day, an idea that several people could only dream of which, for some reason you thought was hell.
You made your way to the waiting area and your teammates greeted you. The moment you sat down, you didn't even feel sick anymore.
You weren't all too familiar with most of the hunters, so when you saw a woman holding a fan walking towards the chair that the hunters usually sat on, you gave a questioning look.
What?
'Is that a fan?' you thought to yourself 'what's that supposed do? blow me away?'
You observed the fan more closely and realized there was a blade taped on its side, which happened to answer most of your questions and made you a bit scared.
Wait what?
Why in the world were you scared of a fan? There should only be one Fan you are scared of and that Fan is Fan Wuiju.
You continued questioning several things that were far from related to the hunter, but little did you know that the hunter also happened to be wondering who you were, since she hasn't been in a match against you before.
Their thoughts were cut off with the sound of glass shattering, which signified the beginning of the match.
You opened your eyes to find yourself in...
What.
You didn't recognize the map, but all you could say was you were in a chapel with a piano in it. The place you were in couldn't possibly be the Red Church since outside the chapel was a long hallway.
After looking around for a bit, you decided to start working on a cipher. Alone. In the chapel. With creepy piano music in the background.
How wonderful.
You were almost finished with the cipher until you felt your heart beating fast. You turned around and your eyes met with the woman with the fan, or well, fan woman as you decided to call her.
You quickly run towards two chairs with a pallet in between them and dropped it. You remember being told that she could go through walls, but you didn't exactly know how so you decided to just stand in front of the pallet and stare at her.
"Can you not look at me?" The Fan Lady asked.
A bit shocked by the question, you continued staring and replied with, "why?"
She didn't exactly do anything either, but after a few seconds she awkwardly said, "I don't like... being looked at?"
"But what if I want to look at you?" you said, not really minding how she would interpret it.
"But what if I don't want you to want to look at me?"
"Then I'll make you want me to want to look at you."
"What?"
"Oh it's nothing," you said and proceeded to run away into another room while she chased after you.
You weren't that good of a kiter, so you ended up getting incapacitated after around half a minute of running around. The Fan Lady, who you now knew as Michiko or, the Geisha, picked you up, but instead of tying you up with balloons, she seemed to be giving you a hug.
"Don't hold me like this, I'm sick," you warned her thinking she could get sick.
Seeing as she got a reason as to why, Michiko decided to go straight to saying, "But what if I want to hold you like this?"
'What?' You thought to yourself, 'Does this woman want to fight me? Does she not want to be healthy? Does she want to be sick? Actually wait, for all I know she probably can't even get sick'
"But I don't want you to want to hold me like this,"
"Then I'll make you want me to want to hold you like this," she said, repeating almost the same conversation they had a few moments ago.
"....What?"
"Nothing," she said before gently placing you on a rocket chair.
"Also," she started, "I can't get sick, but thank you for caring."
After that, she placed down peepers and left to find other survivors while you sat there with several unanswered questions that you wanted answers to.
What?
'Did she just say she can't get sick? Did I literally get concerned for no reason? Oh my God. You fool. You utter- wait, we don't want another motivational screaming session to break another tea set'
You were so deep in thought that so many things you didn't even realize happened such as Kevin rescuing you. You quickly thanked him and went towards the outside only to run into the loving arms of Michiko.
What?
Oh my God.
How could you not see her? Are you blind?
How in the world did you just run into her?
"Why hello there," you said trying to lighten up the mood that, honestly didn't even need lightening in the first place. Of course you didn't expect her to spare you so you just accepted fate and got chaired once again then sent back to the manor.
"How endearing..." She said to no one as she watched you blast off back to the manor. She looked down and saw the brooch you always had around your collar, "...oh dear, they must have dropped this"
[In the Survivor's Manor]
Apparently, Emily spent the entire duration of your match waiting for you in the place where the rocket chairs usually land just to drag you back into your room. Which she quite literally did. You wouldn't be getting out of there any time soon with her extreme supervision.
On the way to your room, you passed by an Emma who was still sobbing, now thinking you were dead for some reason, while Tracy was still by her side attempting to convince her that you were, in fact, alive and that you were on the way to your room.
The next day, you woke up with a letter and your brooch on the table next to you.
What?
You didn't even realize you lost your brooch, so you were thankful to whoever dropped this off. You read the letter and a grin appeared on your face knowing who it was from.
y/n l/n,
If you aren't busy, I'd like to get to know you more. Would you care to have some tea with me in the garden this afternoon?
- Michiko
P.S: you dropped something so I thought it'd only be appropriate to return it to you
