"Happy Birthday (y/n)!" Everyone said the moment you entered the dining room.
Tracy and Helena threw candy in the air while Mike and Margaretha fired confetti from their confetti canons. Some of them ran up to you to give you hug, others like Aesop and Andrew gave you a (quite awkward, but nevertheless nice) pat on the head.
"Awww thank you so much! This means a lot to me!" you started tearing up at the thought that these people even remembered your birthday.
"Hey hey, don't cry! We still have a wonderful feast in store for you!" Fiona said pointing at the dining table full of your favourite dishes prepared by Jose, Mike, and Emily.
You smiled and joined them at the dining table for your birthday feast. Everyone around you happily conversed with eachother while others came up to you holding gifts of all kinds of sizes.
Aesop went up to you with a small box, "I made these for you earlier. It isn't much, but I recall you said you really loved them..." You opened the box to find several (favorite pastry) made by Aesop himself.
[Or well if you don't like pastries, you can pretend he gave you your favourite snack!]
"Aww you remembered! I really appreciate this, you know," you couldn't help but smile. It was around three months ago that you spent a day getting to know eachother, and he remembered this small detail about something you loved. You gave him a hug, which he didn't really expect, but he hugged you back anyway.
Some hunters even visited the survivors' side of the manor to give you gifts because you were such a sweetheart to them even if they sometimes hurt you during matches.
"For you, mon cherie," Joseph knelt down and gave you an album with several photographs of the two of you, or you with the other survivors from the matches where he was friendly and took photos. "Thank you Mr. Desaulniers!" you gave him a hug as well, and he gave your head a small pat.
Robbie approached you and presented the finest twig you've ever seen. Others may think it wasn't much, but you appreciated the gift as much as the other gifts you've received because you knew he put effort into looking for a gift, and that's all that matters to you.
After everyone, including the hunters that came to visit, gave you their gifts, they started sharing fun memories they had with you the past few months.
"Oh oh, remember that one time (y/n) dropkicked the hunter out of sheer fear that Emma was going to get placed in the basement?" Kevin asked, and you covered your face remembering the exact situation from months ago.
[Flashback]
For some reason, you were always scared of the basement. You were so scared that you would make sure to stay at least twenty meters away from it at all costs. You even went as far as walking around the sides of the map just to avoid going near the basement.
In this match however, you ended up stumbling upon the basement. Your other two teammates have already been sent to the manor, while Emma was ballooned and the hunter, Bane, was taking her to the basement. There was only one machine left, but you have it ready for popping.
You, of course, started to panic. You didn't want to go to the basement to rescue her, or even have her trapped in the basement. It was like time slowed down just for you to think about your next move. Bane was slowly making his way down the steps, Emma was... air swimming...? out of the Hunter's balloons. You made your decision.
"ANTI-HUNTER DROP KICK!" you screamed, dropkicking Bane straight in the face.
Your fear combined with the force was apparently strong enough to knock him out. Needless to say, you ended up bowing down to him and asking for his forgiveness the next day. Thankfully, he did forgive you, under the condition that you wouldn't dropkick any hunter again.
[Back to the Present]
Almost everyone burst out laughing remembering how scared you looked after you knocked out the hunter, some even saying that the true hunter in the match was you.
"How about that one time they tried to use a flaregun, but the gun had nothing in it?" Martha had to include her favorite memory
[Flashback... Again]
"Don't come any closer! I'm not afraid to use it!" You said, referring to the flaregun you picked up a while back. Unbeknownst to you, it was a used flaregun, but you couldn't tell because you didn't know how flareguns worked.
Antonio wasn't really afraid since he brought excitement with him, so he continued approaching you while you continued running towards the dungeon.
Seeing as the hunter was too close for comfort, you turned around and tried to use the flaregun.
Keyword, tried.
You kept pulling the trigger, but to your dismay, nothing came out of the gun. "Eeep!" You were flung to your right after Antonio hit you with his bow. Thankfully, since he was being merciful, he decided to let you go and allowed you to crawl your way into the dungeon.
The next day, you made sure to send him a pie of appreciation.
[Back to the Present... Again]
Everyone burst out laughing again after hearing about one of your moments. You couldn't deny it, but you found yourself embarrassing. Despite that, you were happy that you ended up making people laugh with your embarrassing moments.
After what seemed like hours of story telling, everyone decided to call it a night and returned to their rooms.
You walked back to your room, remembering your first day. You came to the manor in search of more knowledge and wisdom, nothing more. You were glad to say you found something even better than what you originally looked for.
You found a family, and you couldn't be even more grateful than you already were.
