You, (y/n) (l/n), came to the manor in hopes of earning enough money to start your own restaurant. You absolutely loved cooking, and the people in the manor, both hunters and survivors, would always look forward to eating your dishes. They were so delicious that they felt reborn after a bite of any of your dishes.
Eventually, you forgot about opening a restaurant and decided that you would just stay in the manor and put a smile to everyone's faces with your cooking.
You set down the plate of Aglio e Olio in front of the five hunters who you deemed your "loyal customers", Joseph, Michiko, Fan, Xie, and Leo.
"Bon Appetit!" You said and smiled, while they thanked you and started grabbing their share of the pasta.
"Mmm! This pasta is so delicious that I feel like I'm being caressed by the feathers of an angel! I'm practically in heaven as I'm eating this!" Joseph complimented, smiling with his eyes closed
You let out a little laugh at the way he described the pasta you just made. Joseph, or well everyone for that matter, tended to exaggerate what it felt like to eat your cooking while they insisted that what they said was, indeed, how they felt when eating your food.
"Why thank you Mr. Desaulniers!" You replied, happy to make the photographer smile
"Say, (y/n), do you have any spicy dishes?" Leo asked.
Now that you thought about it, you never served anyone spicy dishes despite knowing this one recipe your father had taught you. The only reason why being it was so spicy, it felt unworldly to eat it, even you agreed.
"...well, I do have one, but I'm afraid to have you try it because it may have some adverse effects," you answered, hoping they wouldn't want to try it.
Curious about this spicy dish, Fan asked, "adverse effects? What's it called?"
"It's called the Devil's Risotto"
At the mention of the devil, almost all the hunters besides Robbie and Ann, suddenly had their attention on you.
The Devil's Risotto, a dish your father made up himself. It's said to be so spicy that a single bite was enough to make you feel like your entire body was on fire, like you were in hell and you were dancing with the Devil, hence the name.
"Well that sounds like something I'd want to try," Xie commented enthusiastically, with the other hunters agreeing with him.
You feared that having anyone eat a dish as menacing as that would make them suffer, which was why you never really mentioned it or cooked it, but here you were now, cooking the dish you prayed not to cook, for all the hunters.
Setting down a plate for each of them, you said, "Be careful, it's hot."
They didn't take your warning seriously, and here we are now, with many of them sweating as if they had waterfalls on their head, some looking for milk, others fighting for it as if their life depended on it.
Looking at them with worry, you said, "well I did warn you that it was hot..." And let out a small and awkward laugh.
Xie and Fan said that they felt like they swallowed the sun and transformed into fire breathing dragons that couldn't stop breathing fire.
Leo was literally breathing fire.
Hastur practically felt like he was slowly becoming a giant takoyaki because of the dish he just ate, but he found it worth it just because of how delicious it was.
Antonio found it so spicy that even his hair became fire.
While others seemed to be recovering quickly, some hunters were affected during their matches because of the fire they consumed moments ago.
That dish was so hot that Mary's Aqua Mirror would evaporate before she could summon it, just like how Jack's mist would also evaporate before it could travel one meter. Heck, even the walls that Michiko would turn to water evaporated from the heat.
Now the question is, was it really worth eating that dish? Most of the hunters said yes, others said no.
Would they do it again? Oh hell no.
The survivors wondered why some of the hunters were so off and found out that their dear chef had cooked them something so spicy that it affected the way they played.
[In the survivors' manor]
Mike approached you with a smile while you greeted him with a, "hello!"
You also deemed Mike as one of your loyal customers since he'd always taste test the dishes you thought of, but your smile turned into a look of concern when he asked,
"I never got to try this Devil's Risotto! Can you cook one for me?"
Knowing how the dish affected the hunters, you asked, "Are you sure...?"
"Of course I am! After all, all your dishes feel like heaven!"
And just like what happened to the hunters, the same happened to the survivors. The poor people practically looked like noodles after trying the dish of hell.
Freddy and Kreacher were so confident that the dish wasn't spicy only to find out that they were wrong, and the dish was indeed spicy.
Martha felt like she shot herself with her own flaregun even though all she did was smell the dish, while Norton and Naib were fighting over who would be getting the last bottle of milk.
Will you ever make this dish again? Probably not.
Did you enjoy seeing their reactions? A little bit.
