The Walk-in

Kayla POV

I hate that I ran off on Javon like that after we kissed. The kiss was good and I wanted it but I still ran off afterwards. My mind was just going crazy and I had to get out of there.

If I would have kept kissing Javon would we have fucked? Would he have stopped it later? I just couldn't risk being in an awkward situation. It's bad enough, him kissing me is making me question everything even more.

I didn't really know Javon felt like that about me, or might have at least. I mean we joke around with each other and talk to each other all the time when we work. People already thought we was dating or should date, but he never commented on it when they said it. We've hugged and he's touched my butt a few times with his butt or his hand. He actually might like me...

Now I feel like crying because he actually may have liked me and I ran off when he kissed me. That's embarrassing. For him and for me. Maybe he don't even wanna talk to me no more 'cause he thinks it's going to be awkward. What if now when he sees me he starts acting weird or different because he thinks I don't like him.

My phone goes off taking me from my thoughts and I check who it's from. It's from Javon.

*Kayla you good?*, Javon texts.

*I didn't mean to run off I liked the kiss I wanted it*, I send.

*I meant like you got in okay and everything okay lol but its ok shorty*, he sends.

Shit I thought he meant from why I ran off. Where's the fucking unsend and unsee button.

*Yea I got in ok*, I send and walk upstairs to my room.

I fall on my bed and cover my face groaning. How much more can I ruin this?

*Good, and Kayla dont worry about the kiss*, he sends.

I don't even know what to send back because it's too late I'm already worrying. I end up just laying on my bed till I finally get up to take my shower. By the time I come out and lay back on my bed I end up passing out.

I get up the next day and almost forget that I was scheduled to work again. I'm not closing this time but I still go in at 4, I'm just working 4-9.

I start getting myself ready for work because it is already 3:15. By the time I finish getting ready it's almost 3:40. I called my Lyft already so I am still going to make it to work on time.

The Lyft comes just as I am coming downstairs and I grab the last things I need before going out and locking the door. This time I didn't have to worry about Brandi and both Warren's bullshit.

I just realized I didn't even tell Alana and Deja that I kissed Javon last night. I might have to tell them when I get off of work because this Lyft ride wasn't as long as the others and I am already almost to work. I still can't believe he kissed me. I'm glad I won't have to see him today since he doesn't normally work today. I couldn't bare see him after what I did.

When I get to work the normal closing crew isn't there but I do see Javon, oh God. 

"Hey shorty", he says.

"Why you here", I ask.

"Damn I can't come to work", he says.

"Yea but I thought you worked Monday", I say.

"I do but I'm filling in for Justin", he says.

"Oh", I say.

I didn't expect him to be working today. I don't know if I was ready to see him after what happened.

"Don't look too disappointed", he says looking at me from the side and then laughs.

"I-I'm not", I say and go grab my hairnet.

The rest of the workday I had was actually pretty chill. We didn't get smacked like I thought we might and everybody was working together so we got people in and out. I was able to go outside and get a few breaks in the cold air because it was so hot up front. The Gm wasn't bugging either so it was a pretty cool shift.

When it was getting close to the time that I was going to be getting off I noticed that Javon was looking like he was getting off too.

I had to go to the walk-in and get something for the grill when Javon walked in with me. 

"Kayla I couldn't stop thinking 'bout what happened last night", he says.

I just stand there looking at him before saying, "I didn't mean to run off like that, I really didn't".

"I wanted to kiss you for so long so I just did it then", he says, "I didn't want to make you uncomfortable".

"I wasn't uncomfortable", I say. Wait did he just say he wanted to kiss me before?

"Wait you said you wanted to kiss me", I ask him.

"When I first met you I was like damn she look good as hell", he says.

"I-", is all I can get out.

"Still got you stuttering huh", he says.

"i-Im not stuttering", I say.

"When you ran out the car I thought it was 'cause you didn't like me", he says.

"Nah I like you", I say a little too fast.

"I knew you did I could tell", he says.

"For real", I ask.

"Yea you get nervous, you only rude", he says.

"I am not rude", I say.

"You are but it's cute", he says.

"I-not cute", I say.

"Yup and that's why I had to kiss you", he says, "plus I didn't know when I'd be able to kiss you anyway".

"What you mean", I ask

"Didn't know when I'd get you alone", he says stepping towards me.

"Oh", I say. He's face to face with me now and there's only a little space in between us.

He slowly backs me up into the rolling shelves and puts a hand on my chin. He leans in and kisses me again. This time I follow through right away and don't waste any time. As we are kissing he puts his hand on my waist and pulls me in closer to him. His tongue rolls around mine and he bites my lip. Then his hands move lower and he is grabbing my ass. He holds it and squeezes it as he keeps kissing me. He stops for a second to grab my neck. He doesn't choke me but he holds it tight enough for me to feel the pressure. 

Kam walks in and I see him from the corner of my eye. I pull back from Javon and look at him. Javon turns around and sees Kam standing by the walk-in door.

"I knew it", Kam says and grabs what he needs. He looks at both of us one time before leaving.

Javon turns back to me and looks at me for a few seconds. "It's almost time to clock out", he says.

"Yea", I say.

"Need a ride home", he asks.

"Yea", I say.

"I gotchu", he says smiling.

I shake my head and then we both leave the walk-in. I can't stop smiling when we leave out. I can't hide my face.

When we finally finished what we needed to do to clock out it was time for Javon to take me home. Since I was leaving early today I didn't really have to rush home 'cause I have free time. 

We ended up sitting in Javon's car for a little bit before we started making out again. I got on Javon's lap in the front seat and then ended up in the back seat.
