Everyone Deserves Happiness

All last night I couldn't help but think of the fact that Kaeden was there, saw me and didn't say anything. I am not trying to make a big deal about it but that's crazy, he clearly knew I was there and we was in the same room.

"Kayla why are you up", Alana rolls over on the bed.

"I don't sleep", I say.

"It's 4 in the morning", she says.

"Exactly it's early", I say.

"Yea in the morning...so go to sleep", she says.

"No", I say.

"Difficult ass" she says and lays back down.

I can't sleep, I never can. But I can't sleep now 'cause I'm thinking of Kaeden...and Davon...and even Rah. I'm not going to lie that dance was fun but it had me thinking. I never thought of him more than someone who doesn't look bummy but now he seems like a possibility. He's not rude or anything and he cares about his grades so I don't see any harm.

A little later on when everyone gets up we all go downstairs to eat the breakfast that Alana's mom has made her.

"Thanks mom", she says.

"Thanks Ms. Huff", we all say.

"No problem ladies", she says smiling and grabbing her plate.

We eat the food and it is really good, Deja and I get seconds.

"Help yourself", Ms. Huff says.

"Oh they will", Shayla says.

"So what's on the agenda for today", Alana's mom says.

"We are going back to get my car and we may just find something to do afterwards", Alana says.

"I knew I didn't see your car...you girls had fun, you came in really late", her eyebrows are raised.

"Yes we did", Alana answers.

"It was pretty fun and hot", Deja laughs.

"I bet", she says, "I remember when I went to Halloween parties and other parties at your age and it was so chaotic and so much stuff went down. People would get..exposed..is that what you say", she said.

"Yes exposed", I laugh and say.

"Yea there would always be somebody catching any and everything that went down so they could share if later with everyone", she sighs, "that happened to me".

"Ma really", Alana says.

"Yes even me", she says and flips her hair, "your angel of a mother". We all laugh and she says she hopes that we were all being safe. We finish our food and drinks and put our dishes in the sink, she said she will take care of them. Heading upstairs we pass Alana's two cats, they are so adorable.

"Okay so let's get cleaned up and then walk to get my car, that way we can just drive to where ever from there..plus it's a nice day today", Alana says.

"I'm down", Deja says.

We all start getting ourselves together, however that is for each of us, and in like an hour or so we are all ready. We are all wearing some form of slim-fit dress and sandals, we look good as hell. We say bye to Alana's mom and start walking to Derrick's. Alana's house is close to Deja and Jordan's house so Deja decides to peek and see if her mom is home. As she is peeking she runs into Jordan.

Deja's POV

As we are about to go to Derrick's house to get Alana's car I feel the need to check on my house, specifically my mom and her car's location. I tell everyone and they wait for me as I head down the street. While walking I approach Jordan's house and he comes out.
