Kaeden's POV

Man life been real different since I moved from New York. New York is fast paced and right here just slower for me. It's cool or whatever having the chance to slow down but I miss what I could do in New York. I guess this just better for me and my family. Being here I did meet some cool ass people though I can't lie, people just like Kayla.

"Kaeden", my mom calls from the kitchen.

"Yea ma", I answer.

"Did you ever figure out if that Kayla girl was okay", she says scrambling eggs.

"I didn't get the chance to double check but I told you when I asked her she said she was great", I walk into the kitchen.

"I know what you said boy but girls don't mean "great" when they say it like that", she adds pepper.

"She looked fine to me", I rub my neck.

"Did she really, or was that what you wanted to see", she put some eggs on the plates that already have sausage and hash browns.

"I mean she did look hurt, maybe embarrassed even but I figured since that's what she said that's what she meant", I say.

"You have to learn how to read through what a girl says, she may tell you something while trying to "tell" you something at the same time" she puts two toasts on the plate that's for me.

I thought I learned my lesson with trying to assume what a girl means by what she says with Sakai. She told me a lot of shit man and I tried to make what she said into something but it didn't work. I gave her my fucking heart and she stomped on that shit with her red bottoms. I really thought that I did something because I wasn't reading her right, plus she made sure to let me know it was my fault we weren't doing good. I really thought she was the best thing that happened to me and that she would be the happiness I needed in my life, but that didn't last long. I even told my niggas back in NY about her and they was doing the most. One of my mans came to visit and I remember us talking on the stoop about her.

"Is she fine though", he said while lighting his blunt.

"Trey it doesn't matter how fine she is, I'm tired of always arguing with her", I tell him. He a dumb ass nigga for real, he fuck girls and don't say another word.

"Nigga if she fine just schtupp her", he hits his blunt.

"That's not what I care about, I want a real relationship, something that's going to last, something that's real", I tell him.

"Let me see a picture", he blows.

"Fine thirsty ass", I pull my phone out and find a picure. I show him the first one I find.

"Yea nigga she fine as hell, I'd definitely schtupp her, I don't know why you haven't", he hits again.

"I already did nigga", I put my phone away.

"Alright how was it", he says while blowing O's.

"It was okay damn", I say putting my hands in my black puffer jacket pocket.

"She bad and it was just okay, maybe you do need to leave this bitch", he drags.

"Don't call her a bitch, I just want to do what's best for me you feel me, she been telling me I need to do what's best for me", I say. Everytime she think I am about to break up with her she screams it.

"Chick got you whipped and the sex was just okay, I need to meet this girl", he dry laughs.

"You can have her man", I sigh.
