3. A Night To Remember

Previously (Cheryl's POV of a text message from Betty):
Betts🔍:
Hey Cheryl, Jughead just invited me to his house tomorrow. He said that one of his friends mentioned you and the rest want to meet you. You going to come?

Cheryl's POV:
"Who ya texting Kev?" I asked, he was beaming with joy so obviously I wanted to know. Kevin Keller, along with Archie Andrews were both my best friends. Betty had also came along with Archie, but they grew apart because of their obsession with Veronica Lodge. Veronica and Betty were both just close friends though, not my best friends.
"Nobody much" he smiled.
"This nobody much is sure making you smile a lot" I said
"His name is Fangs, he's um..." he thought about it
"A serpent.. did he come and interview you earlier today?" I asked
"Yes, and yes. Do you know him or something?" He countered my questioning
"Sort of, friends with Jughead." I responded
"Oh. I didn't even think about that" he said
"If they're anything like Jughead they're a hobo" I replied
"That's not what I meant" he slightly laughed "I just kinda forgot that Jughead was the Serpent King or whatever" he responded
"Hah. I'm the only one not dating a serpent." I laughed
"I'm not dating Fangs!" Kevin yelled as Betty walked in.
"I heard dating and Fangs in the same sentence, what's going on?" Betty asked. I knew she only walked over to remind me about seeing the serpents later.
"Nothing.." Kevin said mouthing "Shut up" to me.
"Kevin's talking to him, smiling. Obvi likes him." I said. Kevin just rolled his eyes
"Ooh!" Betty said excitedly "Anything either Cheryl or I should tell him later?" Betty asked
"What's going on? Why wasn't I invited?" Kevin replied
"Betty's dragging me along." I said in an annoyed way
"Yeah. One of them was asking about her, I think I know who it was anyways" Betty sneakily said
"Well Nancy Drew I already know, so good luck." I stated
"I love these little scavenger hunts. This will be fun!" Betty screamed in excitement, walking away

After school. 5:00 PM

Toni's POV:
"Jug, what's going on you're dusting." I laughed
"I don't know Toni. Betty said something about the trailer being dirty and I just want to be clean." Jughead responded
"Wow Jones. You would really do anything for that girl." I said
"Well, what can I say? I love her." Jughead replied
I heard a car approaching the parking lot
"Speaking of.. here she comes now" I said

Cheryl's POV:
As we walked up to the trailers I laughed "Lucky i don't have claustrophobia, otherwise I would be screaming in horror"
"Oh come on. It's not that small." Betty said with a flat tone
"Whatever" I rolled my eyes
The cheerleader from the game had opened the door.
"Oh hey! Incase you forgot Cheryl, I'm Toni. Hey Betty" Toni said
"Really. Out of all people she's here? We're leaving" I replied, walking away before grabbed by Betty
"Give them a chance, it's been 2 seconds." Betty stated as I walked back in, pushing out of Betty's grasp. I noticed 2 other serpents there, the boy, Fangs I think was his name? From earlier today and a taller dark haired boy.
"Hey Betty, welcome Cheryl." Jughead said, walking over and kissing Betty. The rest of us looking away in boredom.
"Seen that atleast 500 times" Toni laughed as I laughed back a genuine laugh. Betty stared a couple of seconds. If not before she had now definitely thought the serpent who asked was Toni, not that it really mattered.

30 mins later

Toni's POV:
We had gone outside to watch the sunset, I loved the sunset. I got my camera out and set up a time lapse.
"You're into photography?" Cheryl asked
"Yes, are you going to expose me or something? I don't care." I said
"No. I was going to say I think that's pretty cool. I can't even take a polaroid without it being blurry." She laughed as I laughed back
"I could teach you one day?" I thought maybe to hang out with her
"Not that easy Topaz. We've know each other for what, 40 minutes?" she stated
"I guess. Sorry. But offer still stands" I said as she smiled.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Sweetpea shouted while waking back inside.
"Count me out. This is how it all starts." I replied
"Same. I'm not doing that." Cheryl said in her bitchy voice
"The outsiders I guess. What will they be doing.. together?" Fangs smirked and laughed
"Yeah no. I'll play then you dweeb" Cheryl replied. I immediately knew Fangs was going to dare Cheryl or I to do something together. I really didn't want to play but for some reason I just did. So did everyone else.
"Truth or dare B?" Cheryl asked
"Uhh.. let's go with truth." Betty responded
"Lamee!" Sweetpea called out. He was a little drunk.
"What's the real reason you and Archie spilt?" Cheryl asked. To be honest I wondered this too.
"We didn't split. You're making it sound like we were in a relationship. Which we could never, we've been nothing more then friends."
"Could you say the same with Veronica" Cheryl interrupted as I almost spat out my water.
"I-" Betty struggled to find the words. She was never good at lying, or even admitting things like this.
"I ship it! Beronica!" Fangs yelled followed with a glare from Jughead
"It's your turn Betty" Jughead said, breaking the silence
"Oh yeah, uh right. Toni." Betty said
"Dare" I replied
I saw Jughead whisper in her ear and look at Cheryl and her face lit up.
"Ooh yes! That'll definitely stir up something" Betty yapped
"I dare you to kiss Cheryl" Betty said with a flirtatious tone
"Are you kidding me Cooper?" I groaned
"Really cousin?" Cheryl responded while the boys erupted in "ooh".
As we both leaned in it was a bit awkward. But it was just short. One of the first kisses I've had for a while. Everyone at Southside High wasn't really my type. I did have the occasional one night stand, but the last one was around 7 months ago.
"Two ships.. one night. Choni and Beronica! Wooooo!" Fangs yelled, clearly drunk.

2 hours later

Cheryl's POV:
Toni and I had gotten closer after our truth or dare kiss. It still didn't mean I liked her though, she was more like a mutual friend. Jughead wasn't my friend though so it wasn't really like that.
"Hey Cheryl" Toni said
"Yes Toni?" I replied
"Why do you act like such a bitch around others?" Toni asked
"It's not really who I am. And I'm not opening up to some girl I met less then 3 hours ago." I said
"It's not like I'll tell anyone, I do a similar thing at Southside High. Come on." Toni responded
"Toni, I've somewhat liked talking to you but I'm not letting you force this out of me." I replied in my bitchy tone.
"Okay, sorry" Toni sounded genuine. I wasn't sure how to feel about this. I've never been good with feelings. I thought Toni was just another one of my rivalry's but it seemed like she was trying to be my friend.
"Whatever, can we just go back to discussing relationships and stuff." I said
"Okay yeah sure. So what about Fangs and the brown hair he interviewed" Toni laughed
"You mean Kevin? He told me he was talking to him. Seemed to really like him" I laughed back
"Oh thanks! Fangs wouldn't tell us anything" Toni said in an excited way and we continued talking.

Another 2 hours later

Toni's POV:
It was now 9:30 and Betty and Cheryl were just leaving. As they walked out the door I called out "Cya Betty! Bye Cheryl!"
"Later!" Betty responded
"Toodles Cha-cha!" Cheryl said at the same time. Jughead walked Betty to the car and kissed her goodbye. I laughed at Cheryl rolling her eyes at them in the front seat. Jughead walked back in and shut the door and a new conversation started.
"So you and red?" Sweetpea asked
"We're sort of friends, something like that" I replied
"Pfft, you look at her like she's the only girl in the world" Fangs laughed
"No I don't! I just want to know why she's so protective of herself" I became defensive
"Yeah yeah, sure. Whatever you say Tiny." Jughead said
"It's okay to like her" Sweetpea called out
I just rolled my eyes. Sitting back down. I was probably going to leave around 10, it wasn't that much of a walk. My trailer was 2 trailers away. I thought about it I actually liked Cheryl. I liked her soft personality, but I didn't need to worry about her because we had only just exchanged numbers. But for some reason I just decided to text her.

Hey, is this Cheryl? It's Toni. Or did she give me a fake number or something.

Cheryl🍒:
No, this is Cheryl. Cheryl Blossom incase you forgot.

Even though it was text I could hear her mocking my voice.

Ok wow. But anyways, you get home safe?

Cheryl🍒:
Yes, Betty just dropped me off at my hellhole of a house.

From the little that you told me it sounds like your mother is a real bitch. I'm sorry.

Cheryl🍒:
Don't be sorry Cha-cha, not your fault I was given this soul to partake.

A/N: I think I'll continue these end of chapter announcements. Anyways hope you enjoyed this one. Choni's truth or dare kiss, Kevin and Fangs, Beronica drama with Jughead and Sweetpea being a loner. Might bring Josie or someone in later. I wrote this really late last night and just finished it off this morning. Like I said I'm basically just writing for myself. I don't know if anyone's even reading this.
