Blurb:
I had a pretty good life. I mean, it was a life, at that. I had a system that worked just fine for me. It consisted of my family, my two best friends, school, and my hobbies. No one else was needed in it, and no one else got in it. That was, until Connor Franta came around and ruined it all.
Some one on the outside might say it was mutual hate, but it was much more complicated than that. Between me being the awkward, anti-social, stuck up kid I was, and Connor being the "cool" one that everyone but his set group of friends left alone because his morals were just a little too loose, it was hard for outsiders to truly realize the uneven ground that lay between us.
So how does this tale embark one of a cute, teenage romance? It all happened when I was brought off of my high-horse to fully understand what it meant to live, and be loved, perfect or not.
Inspiration: I wanted to write something that really reflected who we know Connor and Troye are, but in a way that included some of my own themes, my own character development and complexity, and in a way that is exciting and thrilling to read. Even though this book is not deep, it does deal with some deep themes. If you'd like, you can read this book with an ignorant mindset and just enjoy the cute parts and cry at the sad parts. Or, you can try and see the bigger picture. I wanted to make a slightly cliché story line with a really realistic ideas and situations, because I realized it is so often in our society that media presents love in a way that is by far realistic nor accurate. So that's why I decided to write this and put it out for the world to see it.
Notes: The story will only be in Troye's perceptive (POV), never alternating. I won't reply to any comments telling me that I should change, revise, or add to my plot line. I have had it plotted out since day one, and I am not willing to change it just for your pleasure. As much as this book is for you to read, it is mine to write. There will be characters that do deal with more mature and complex situations and personalities. This won't be a rushed romance because I'm so over that, nor will it be rushed. If you came here for that stuff, this won't be your best option. I will post warnings if anything that appears to be slightly triggering or smutty comes forth. There will be non-narrated use of drugs, non-narrated mild depression, and a lot of bullying. Also, there will be a lot of swearing, homophobia, and a definite gay relationship.
Behaviour I will not tolerate: asking me to or when I update (it will do nothing but piss me off), pretending that these characters are the same as the YouTubers you know (they have some similar features and personality traits because they are based off of them, but they are my own characters), the use of derogatory names and remarks in the comments and towards a character, me, or any other reader, complaining about stupid ass things like my boring Author's Notes or when I decided to talk about the theme of a chapter, etc. (all of that has happened), or just do anything plain rude or offensive that you wouldn't do in real life. If I see anything I don't like and don't want this story to represent, I will decide on the level of consequence, but it will be dealt with.
