Harry cautiously tapped the letter, watching in amazement as it unfurled and landed on his lap. He was used to magic, but sometimes the sheer simplicity of it astounded him. He scanned it, learning little about its contents.

He sighed. He didn't want to cause anyone any alarm, he knew it was from Gringotts, and he didn't want anyone to come with him. He knew his legacy. He was a Potter, one of the oldest pureblooded families. He knew it was going to be something along the lines of creature inheritance, probably something like a raven. He knew that pain at the Dursley's wasn't just circumstance. To be honest, only very powerful creatures experience much pain, so it was probably egged on by his wounds. His open wounds.

He read through the letter, well, as much as he could. The writing was blurred due to his glasses being over on the table, on the opposite end of the room.

As he read what looked like that final paragraph, he saw the word heir. He tried to read through the rest of it, but the lights were getting in the way. It was from Gringotts, and knowing it was important business, he decided to pocket the letter away, he would go when he had time.

Sirius burst into the room, along with the Weasley clan. A chorus of "Harry!" and "Are you ok!" hit him, and he stifled a laugh. "Guys! I'm fine!" And for the first time in a long time, he truly meant it.

The nurse walked in stiffly after, and another wave  of "is he ok?" rang around the room.                   "You are free to go mister Potter, but do remember, magic cant save you every time." and with that, Harry was free to go.

Molly insisted that he stay at the burrow, and receive a 'plumping up' as she called it. Of course, Harry politely declined, telling her about some business at Gringotts. Everyone volunteered to go with him, which, again, Harry politely declined. He was 18 now, he wanted to do something by himself. Sirius assisted him with the Portkey, leaving Harry alone to recite the word.

"Heir!" He said, firmly, watching as the Weasleys waved goodbye.

Harry landed , fumbling. He stood up, walking up the marble steps that bordered the entrance. He stared at the number of desks down the corridor, watching as the goblin's rhythm matched his footsteps.

Harry stepped up to the large desk at the end of the hallway, clearing his throat. "Hello, um, I would like to speak to, " he faltered, trying to remember the name of the goblin. "Griphook." He stated finally, and after some awkward stares and glances, he was answered. "Follow me, Mister Potter." And with that, they had dived into the twisting tunnels of Gringotts.

They eventually arrived at a large wooden door titled " creature specialist and higher banker," and underneath it, "Griphook."

Sorry for the short chapter, I'll try to write more. I dont even know if anyone's reading this, but if you are, hello! -kayden
