anna invited the gang to come spend the evening in her little townhome--despite george and paul taking the blanket from john countless times to piss him off, anna felt grateful that the world had somehow, someway, brought john back to her.

her feet shuffled along the floor, stepping around the sleeping bags filled with her greatest friends, and over to her bathroom.

john rested the side of his head against his palm as he lay on his side, watching her walk in his white cotton shirt. he smirked and sneakily got up to follow her from behind.

anna turned on the light and almost screamed as she saw john behind her when she looked through the large mirror. she quickly covered her mouth.

"good morning, angel face." he winked and leaned against the frame of the door. anna uncovered her mouth to reveal a bashful smile.

"good morning, lennon." she leaned in and quickly gave him a peck on the cheek before closing the door on him. despite john wanting to shower with her, he had more important matters to attend to as he walked to paul and george, who slept precariously close to the end of anna's king size, and smacked them in the stomach.

paul rose defensively. "what the hell, john?" george rose soon after.

"i need yer help."

"johnny bear, im so proud of ye for askin." george mocked motherly while paul burst into laughter.

"don't be queer." he hit his shoulder. "get up and be ready in ten." their smiles faded and they got up as john walked over to holly and bent down kindly, brushing her hair out of her face. she rolled over and opened her eyes, startled by john looming over her.

"john?"

"good morning, holl." he smiled. stuart was sleeping soundly with his arms wrapped around his wife's torso. "i'll need yer help with something."

anna wore her favorite black dress with long, see-through white balloon sleeves that cinched at her wrists as she walked down the sidewalk. the sun was slowly making it's way down for the day, however it was still light and bright outside, coloring the apples of her cheeks crimson.

john got up from the bench he sat on to walk towards her, a smile plastered on his face.

"hello, john." she grinned, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear and scrunching her toes as they laid trapped in heels.

"hello, anna." he reciprocated, leaning in to peck her lightly on the cheek before taking her arm and beginning to walk through the park.

the couple conversed about all that they had missed in two busy years apart; john walked with light feet as a breeze trickled through anna's vibrant curls.

"so what was me muther like? when ye knew 'er..." anna's heart softened and she looked him in the eyes.

"oh, johnny, she was the most loving woman. she cared a lot about me and always told me stories about you as a little 'in." she noticed his eyes had glossed over as she spoke, and she tightly squeezed his hand.
