Detective Alvarez went to different orphanages in the country. It was the third orphanage he went to on that day, the orphanage where Kyle and Josh stayed in their childhood.
"Hello, welcome to the orphanage. I'm Ms. Grace, may I know how can I help you?" the head of the orphanage said.
"Hello, I'm searching for a kid who owns this bracelet. Do you have any clue about him?" Detective Alvarez said as he presented the bracelet to Ms. Grace.
"May I know how you related to this kid? I am just following their rights to have privacy." Ms. Grace said.
"This kid is a lost son, and we are searching for him for 12 years." Detective Alvarez said. "Are you familiar with this bracelet?"
"Come to my office." Ms. Grace said.
They went to Ms. Grace's office, which looks like a principal office in some ordinary schools. Detective Alvarez sat on the chair while Ms. Grace was looking for a file to present.
"Here is the kid's data." Ms. Grace said as she found the file.
"Kyle?" Detective Alvarez shocked when he saw the file. "Are you sure it's him?"
"Looks like you knew him." Ms. Grace said. "He had been rescued by the villagers 12 years ago. It was raining back then, and Kyle was unconscious. He was five back then. When Kyle wakes up, we guessed lost his memory. We even consulted with the doctor, and the result is he had amnesia. This bracelet was the only thing he had, we even searched for his parents, but we failed."
"Do you have any contacts with him?" Detective Alvarez said.
"No, he didn't have a phone. So he didn't even own a phone number." Ms. Grace said. "The only thing I knew, he is currently studying at Helmore University as a scholar. Do you know how smart he is?"
"Thank you for your time, Ms. Grace." Detective Alvarez said.
As soon as Mr. Alvarez left the orphanage, he immediately called his boss to give the information.
"Boss, Good news." Detective Alvarez said on his phone. "We already found your son. He is just beside us. He is Kyle. The student who talked about the orphanages."
"What?" Director Han surprised.
"Yeah, The dots are connected from what the manager said here and the incident from what happened to Joseph." Detective Alvarez said.
"Okay, I'll call you later." Director Han said.
Director Han got dumb when he heard those words from Detective Alvarez. He just recently kicked out Kyle from his sight. He saw Kyle in a helpless mood. Tyler was there, comforting him.
Time passed, Director Han was out of his mood from what he did. He is too shy to confront Kyle from what he did. He even cursed and told him not to see him again. It was an uneasy situation for Director Han to deal with it.
"You calling me, Director Han? I'm sorry for what I did. I'm ready for any punishment you gave." Tyler said while bowing his head to his boss.
"No, you did great." Director Han said. "I'm sorry for what I did," he said shyly.
"What do you mean? Are you okay, boss?" Tyler said.
"Don't inform Kyle yet, okay, I might surprise you from what I'm going to tell. Kyle is my son, and I knew what I did earlier. So I want you to have some of my requests."
"Okay, go on," Tyler said.
"I want you to collect some DNA from him. Hair, saliva, you name it. We need to confirm before we act. And I need you to secure him no matter what." Director Han said. "I'm glad you're close to him."
"Don't worry, boss," Tyler said and left.
It gave Director Han some time and thought some things.
"There is a lot of questions running into my mind, why they abandon me? Why they forget about me? Why don't they visit me? Yeah, It's too lonely to be alone in this world. I never had an intimate relationship with someone else except for my friends. It's hard to accept, but that's reality."
