Chapter 3: The Bracelet

"I'm going to sell my bracelet," Kyle said.

"What?" Liam shocked. "No! You have to think about it! That's the only evidence you have from your parents." Liam demanded.

"Yeah, I know, but I need money too. That's why I'm going to sell it." Kyle defended his statement.

"Kyle, this is a serious matter. You can use this to find your parents. I know you want to meet them." Liam said directly.

"I know you are concern with this matter, Liam. But the thing is, I need money for my phone, and I know you knew some sort of value in this kind. I just need you to help me not to get scammed." Kyle responded.

"I'm glad you came to me for that reason." Liam gladly said. "But, are you sure you're gonna sell it?"

Kyle looked at the bracelet for the last time.

"I'm sure of it!" Kyle said.

"So that's your final decision. I can't help you change your mind now. I'll inform Josh about this matter too. Don't worry. I have your back." Liam said.

"Thanks, bro! I hoped you and Ann get together." Kyle joked.

"Nonsense! I'm going to sleep now." Liam replied.

"Good night!" Kyle said.

Kyle went to his room and lied to his bed. He is thinking about his bracelet. He wants to know who are his parents was, but he needs money to buy a phone.

The next morning, the scholars gathered at the lobby to listen to an announcement. The university staff reported to the administration that scholars got bullied by the students, so Mr. Smith made sure that every one of his beloved scholars is safe and sound.

"It looks like the students are out of control. We are trying our best to keep you safe inside the university premises." Mr. Smith said. "In the meantime, please endure those mean comments and assault. We have nothing to do since the scholarship was part of their tuition fees. All we can do is wait for the administration to take action."

Everyone talked about their worries and concerns. It affects their mental health, but all they can do is to wait for the administration to give action.

Its already early in the morning, everyone ate breakfast and went to their respective classes. Kyle, Liam, and Kent took a bus going to their classes.

"I already told Josh about your bracelet, he has the same reaction as me," Liam informed Kyle.

"He'll understand that soon," Kyle replied.

Kent took off the bus first, then Liam, and lastly, Kyle. As Kyle was walking through the lecture hall, he met Professor Em coincidentally.

"Oh, Kyle! You're there!" Professor Em exclaimed.

"Good morning, professor, how can I help you?" Kyle asked.

"No, I'm fine. Anyways, I don't have your contact information. I need it since you are going to start working in the laboratory next week. And I want to keep in touch with you, knowing you're a responsible person." Professor Em said.

"Uh, professor, I don't have some contact information yet," Kyle said. "But, I might give it to you within the week."

"Good!" Professor Em rejoiced. "So, let's get in the class now."

As Kyle entered the lecture hall, he heard whispers around.

"Hey, loser!"

"The assistant is here."
