The scholars seated at their respective seats. In their chair, there's a key with their room number on it.
"What the heck is this?" Liam said.
"Any idea?" Kyle asked.
Nobody answered. He guessed no one had a clue about it.
Mr. Smith came and stepped to the stage.
"Okay, before we start, I would like to say thank you for being here tonight." Mr. Smith said. "JH Corporation sponsored this party. Let's give them a round of applause."
Everybody clapped their hands. They were amazed by the generosity of the corporation.
"I heard the corporation donated billions of dollars for the scholars. Am I right?" Mr. Smith said.
Ashley nodded. "I guess someone saw your potential. So they invest a lot of money for you to study."
The scholars astonished by the announcement.
"Wow, billions," Kristian whispered. "That's not a joke."
"You act too weird, Kristian," Sharon said.
"Am I not allowed to get surprised by the amount they donated?" Kristian asked.
"Okay, you won," Sharon said.
"Hey, what do you think about Kyle?" Kristian asked.
"He's hot," Sharon said.
"You compliment others, but not mine," Kristian said.
"I'm already sick with your body." Sharon joked. "But, I guess Kyle is different from other guys I met."
"How?" Kristian asked.
"I like his humor," Sharon said.
"I guess you like him?" Kristian said. "For the first time, I saw you liked a guy now."
"Hey, cut that!" Sharon warned.
Kristian did his best to distract Sharon from her doubt about him. It seemed to be working.
"So, let's have a toast!" Ashley said.
Everyone toasted. Kyle acted awkwardly in front of Ashley, hoping not to mess up again.
"Before I forget, The keys with your room number represents your lockers' key. There's a surprise inside, so better watch it out." Ashley said. "And please leave the keys inside the locker. The locker is just temporary. Enjoy!"
Everyone started their feast. Waiters serve them different dishes, from appetizers to desserts. The meal is more like formal dining, which some of the scholars didn't enjoy that much.
"Hey, they are scholars, but they had no proper etiquette in eating. They had no shame." one of the waiters said, telling their co-worker.
The group of guys heard what the waiter said. They felt embarrassed for not learning the proper etiquette. Most of them are new in this dining.
"I can't eat properly," Josh said.
"Don't mind them," Kent said. "They are just jealous of not eating."
"Excuse me?" the waiter asked.
"Nothing," Kent said.
"It's true, you are studying at Helmore University, yet you don't know fine dining." the waiter said in defense.
"We're sorry if that's the case," Kyle said.
"Kyle, just stops," Kurt said.
"That's the fact. You guys are shameless." the waiter said and left.
