Chapter 12: Kidnapping

"Damn, I feel bad about Kyle." Carl thought while keeping an eye on Kyle to check on him.

Carl saw Kyle went out in the elevator. He immediately followed to check upon him.

"Damn, I'm right! He looks disappointed." Carl thought. He managed to keep a distance that is unnoticeable.

Kyle was standing outside the headquarters, breathing for some fresh air. He didn't know how to react, seeing his co-staff at the convention talking bad behind his back. He thought he lost all the trust they given to him. It was his fault being late, after all. He just wanted to vent out, but he is in a public place right now.

While enjoying the breeze of air, a black van stopped in front of Kyle. The door opened immediately, and the guys with a mask grabbed Kyle inside. What happened went to fast. The guys covered Kyle's face with a handkerchief that contains chloroform, which made Kyle unconscious. The van escaped immediately after they successfully managed to kidnap Kyle.

"Hey! Call the police!"

"Who's that kid?"

"Did someone took the van's plate number?"

Everyone who saw the incident started chaos. Carl, who also saw the event, panicked, went to Tyler and Lia to inform the bad news.

"Guys, Kyle got kidnapped," Carl said.

Lia and Tyler looked at each other. They can't believe it yet.

"Enforce your team, Tyler," Carl commanded.

"What is happening?" Tyler asked.

"Now!" Carl shouted.

Everyone who is working near stared at them. The office got silenced.

"Oh no," someone in the office said. "There's a kidnapping incident that happened recently. I wonder who's that kid."

"Tyler, now!" Carl shouted.

"What van?" Tyler asked.

"Black van," Carl said.

Tyler called his team to investigate immediately. He requested some videos taken from the surveillance cameras in the city.

"Lia, inform Director Han, quick!" Carl said.

"Ahh, yeah, I'm doing it now," Lia said while pressing the buttons on the telephone to contact Director Han.

"Hey, is it possible that it was Joseph who got kidnapped? There's a lot of gangs who got interested in Joseph nowadays," Dan said as he went towards them, heard the news about the kidnapping. "You also told us that Joseph was wandering around the company. It might be him."

"Dan, please don't add fuel to the fire," Lia said. "I'm sure it was a different guy.

"If that's the case, call him to go back to his dad's office for his safety," Dan suggested.

"He is on his way home. We don't know where he is either." Carl said.

"Just go back to your seat, Dan," Lia said.

"Okay, chill," Dan said.

Lia dialed Director Han multiple times. There is no answer.

"Carl, can you pick Director Han up in his house? I can't contact him." Lia said.

"Noted," Carl said and left.

Tyler got a clue already, but there is no use.

"Bullshit!" Tyler cursed. "The van has no plate number on it and passes through the city's blind spots. Look like they planned everything well."
