Chapter 8: DNA Test

Everyone was sad about the news. No one dared to talk to each other. There is a month left after the semester ended.

"Good, I want to fight back from what they did. Time for revenge." Dirk said as he wants to cheer up his fellow scholars.

"Where should I get some money for my tuition?" Ann murmured.

"I should start searching for a job," Audrey said.

Most of them rely on their scholarship. It would be hard to continue studying.

"Hello, my dear students." Mr. Smith came to discuss the matter.

"Sir, what's the reason why our scholarship abolished?" Nancy asked.

"The board of directors took you as an experiment for the research experiment in the university. That's why they gave scholarships for the first time since this school opened. They took you to test the quality education of the university since regular students are not studying that hard. It seems like the board of directors came into conclusion because they already gather enough information from you." Mr. Smith explained.

"This is unfair!" Josh demanded. "Why do you help us in the first place?"

Everyone nodded from what Josh asked Mr. Smith.

"First of all, I am so sorry for causing trouble with you. I'm also a new teacher. Wherein, I had no idea about the experiment. I took the job because I knew scholars are great. That's why I take care of you." Mr. Smith, he room silenced for a minute. Everyone was sad about the topic. Mr. Smith felt like he failed as a teacher and a guardian, but he had nothing to do with it. The scholars are worried about their future. They have no place to go now.

It is a sad day. They still have a month left before leaving the university. They should bring out the best of it.

"Hey, what are you doing at the hotel at that time?" Liam said.

"Why do you care?" Ann said.

"Nothing," Liam said.

"Ren told me I should come to the hotel to save my scholarship. I didn't expect him to do that." Ann said. "Why you care?"

"Nothing, promise!" Liam said. "What's your plan after the semester?"

"I guess I'll go to my local college in my neighborhood to continue my studies. How about you?"

"Oh, I see," Liam said with disappointment. "Same with you, I guess."

"What's wrong with you"? Ann asked.

"I'm alright," Liam smiled. "I wish I can see you more." he murmured.

"What did you say?" Ann said as she heard Liam murmured something.

"Nothing," Liam said immediately.

The group of guys watched Liam and Ann chatting. They can feel the emotions of Liam through his eyes. They wanted to help, but there is nothing to do.

Kyle looked around the room. He saw Sharon and Kristian talking to each other. They comfort one another as best as they could.

"Would you mind joining in?" Kyle asked.

"Sure," Sharon said.

Kristian was so disappointed about what happened. He is afraid of his girlfriend's parents and forces them to break up since Kristian has no strong background anymore.

"Let's hit the gym?" Kyle invited Kristian.

Kristian nodded. Kyle also invited his friend to come. After 20 minutes, Kyle, Kristian, Liam, Kurt, and Kent are present in the gym. Liam, on the other hand, is busy talking to Ann. He just wants to spend his remaining time with Ann.
