"Wait, what?" he asks, turning to her fully. "You want me to come with you if you get accepted to Denver?" She sat there quietly, unable to respond. Her mouth had suddenly gone dry and she didn't know what to say next. "I mean, Y/N, don't you realize how crazy that is?"
Y/N felt her heart tighten, but she swallowed down her feelings and gave him a fake smile. "You're right, I don't know what I was thinking."
Hyde seemed to have pick up on it because he grabbed both of her hands. "It's not that I don't want to," he said gently. "It's just, well, I didn't even think we were serious enough for it, ya know? Secondly, how are we going to explain it to everyone why I decided to move to Denver with you? Besides, if I do decide to come with you, that's a pretty big step that I think we would need to talk about."
Y/N couldn't help but feel a little relieved at that. His reaction wasn't as scary as she thought it was going to be. She gave him a small smile and nodded. "Okay."
He grabbed her face and pulled her in for a kiss, feeling a little giddy that she thought about him. She placed her hand over his and kissed him back, her heart thumping wildly. She couldn't believe that she landed the infamous town rebel and bad boy Steven Hyde. Steven Hyde, the one who wasn't serious about anything. The one who was rough around the edges and yet, here she sat kissing him. Being the only one who got to see his soft side made her heart flutter.
She pulled away and leaned her forehead against his. "You better get out of here before someone walks in," she whispered.
"Yeah," he said and gave her one more kiss before standing up and checking the hallway before leaving.
Y/N leaned back on her bed, sighing heavily. She could easily go back to sleep and not worry about the rest of the day, but she wanted to get up and get some errands done today. She sighed once before getting up and getting dressed. She decided she wanted to impress Steven and make him go a little crazy. She put on that pair of skin tight flare jeans that really brought out her butt and perfect curves and a white blouse that tied at the bottom showing some stomach and curves. It was a low V-neck that showed just enough cleavage to keep them guessing but classy enough by not showing too much.
She brushed her hair and braided a single braid down the side of her head. She put on some light makeup to bring out natural features and gave one last overlook in the mirror before heading out.
She sauntered down the stairs into the living room where she saw Steven sitting in the living room with Red, watching TV. He did a double take when he saw her and watched her from the corner of his eye.
"Hey, daddy," she said sweetly and gave him a kiss on his bald head. "I'm going to the Hub. Do you want me to bring you or mom anything?"
Red gave her a loving smile. "No, it's okay, Kitten. You have fun."
She gave Hyde a wink behind Red's back before entering the kitchen. Hyde sighed as if he was bored. "You know what—I think I'm going to go too. Get out of the house for a little bit."
"Good idea," Red mumbled and stopped Hyde with a simple raise of his hand. "Make sure no boys talk to her. I don't need her distracted for her future. Can I trust you to do that?"
Hyde thanked the stars for his talent in poker faces, but he had an urge to smirk at him. Thankfully, he kept his face still as stone. "Yeah, sure. No problem, man."
Red gave him an approving nod and turned back to the TV. Hyde casually strolled through the living into the kitchen and grabbed his keys off the counter. What he didn't know was Y/N was waiting for him by his car.
