"Kook?" Yoongi approaches.

Jungkook couldn't bring himself to go back to the house, he wants to allow Hana the time she needs, but he knows that if he's in the vicinity of her, it'll be even harder to stay away. There's something about the girl that magnetises him and lures him in. Whether it's the connection they already discovered they have, or something new, waiting to be unlocked, Jungkook knows it is strong.

"Hey Yoongs," Jungkook replies as Yoongi takes a seat on the grass next to his younger friend.

"What are you doing out here?" Yoongi questions, crossing his legs in front of him.

Jungkook lets out a deep sigh, fighting with his conscience as to whether he should tell Yoongi or not. He knows it'll make Hana mad at him, but he can't bring himself to lie to Yoongi. It's easier to lie to Jin and Namjoon because they would never suspect Jungkook's feigned innocence, but there is just something about Yoongi that pushes Jungkook to be honest with him. It's like Yoongi has put a blockage in his brain to stop people from lying to him.

"Hana's the girl, Hyung," he finally admits. Unknowingly, a small smile crept onto his face, which didn't go unnoticed by Yoongi.

"Really? The one you can talk to telepathically?" Yoongi asks.

Jungkook nods.

"Then why are you sat here feeling sorry for yourself?" Yoongi says, observing the forlorn expression on his friend's face.

Jungkook sighs again. "Because, I found out and blurted it all out to her, not realising how much that could be to take in. She's been through so much these past few days. Running away and leaving the house for the first time, finding out that what her parents were doing to her isn't normal, being told she has these powers that she needs to unlock-"

"Wait, she knows?!"

He nods again. "She also knows that Jimin is her brother. She knows pretty much everything, except the plan obviously. She's not ready to know that. Tae, Jimin and I have been training her. She's unlocked the physical and mental strength abilities, and we're going to work on speed next. She's powerful, Hyung, more so than any of us are expecting, I think."

"Wow," is all Yoongi can say. He thinks for a few seconds before speaking again. "I won't tell Namjoon or Jin as long as you let me tell Hobi. You know he doesn't like doing anything without me because I was the one who rescued him, and him not being in on this would break his heart when he eventually finds out. I think we do need to tell Namjoon and Jin at some point, but we should wait until we know the full extent of her abilities, and rather than tell them, we should show them what she is capable of. How does that sound?" Yoongi finishes.

"Thank you, Hyung," Jungkook smiles, wrapping an arm around Yoongi's shoulders and pulling him closer. "I need to talk to her first."

He stands up and turns around, beginning to make his way back through the woods, towards the house. Yoongi quickly gets up and catches up to Jungkook.

What they are both unaware of, is the fact that someone close to them observed their whole conversation, and is unexplainably angry.

Taehyung had teleported himself to the edge of the field, in hopes of finding Jungkook and telling him what had happened between him and Hana, and how she wanted space from him as well. But when he saw Yoongi already chatting to Jungkook, he decided to hide behind a tree and listen into their conversation, not knowing why he didn't just approach them and join in.

Now he feels like he knows the reason, and he can't help but have a hunch that Jungkook was planning to sabotage the whole plan. And was Yoongi helping him?

the plot thickens... i've missed this book ugh i'm so glad to be writing again. although, i have already written up to chapter twenty three on this one, i'm happy to be writing further on with it. also, while we're here, if you haven't already, pls chack out my new book 'blue'. it's a kinda soft kinda dramatic book with a very heatfelt ending and it's gonna be a short one to go alongside this heavy one, so that if i ever feel weighted down by the seriousness of this book i can go and write a chapter of blue and come back to this one later. thank u as always, love u <3
