"Hana!" Taehyung shouts as he bursts into the living room through the front door.
"Woah!" Jimin jumps up in shock. "Where the hell have you been?"
"Jungkook," Taehyung pants, "he... he told Yoongi."
"Told Yoongi what?" I ask, standing up and joining Jimin by his side.
"He told him about us training you behind Namjoon and Jin's back and made Jungkook promise that he can tell Hobi. If Hobi finds out we're screwed because the little shit can't keep a secret if his life depends on it."
"Tae, calm down." I approach him, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Maybe this is a sign that Namjoon and Jin should know. The longer we keep hiding this from them, the more disappointed they're going to be when they find out. Plus, what's so bad about them knowing I have this hidden ability?"
"It's because we're planning a mission," a new voice joins.
"Yoongi?" Jimin says. We were so focused on calming Taehyung down that we failed to realise that Jungkook and Yoongi had made it back.
"Why are you so worn out Tae? Why didn't you teleport back?" I ask, changing the subject and completely ignoring Yoongi's statement.
"Oh... I didn't actually think of that. I'm stupid," Taehyung replies, slapping his forehead.
"I'm not allowed to disclose anymore about what I just said. In fact, I shouldn't have even told you that, but I think you at least have the right to know that there's more going on than you know," Yoongi continues, finally gaining everyone's attention.
I choose not to say anything in response, feeling like it's not my place to, since I can't ask questions, knowing Yoongi can't tell me more. Instead, I focus my gaze on Jungkook who is avoiding eye contact with me at all costs.
"Jungkook?" I decide to call out to him.
"Yes," he says, still not looking at me.
"Can we talk?" I ask.
He nods and follows me upstairs to his room.
"W-What did you want to talk to me about?" He asks, sitting on his bed, looking at the floor.
"Please look at me," I almost whisper.
His head slowly raises up as his eyes move to meet mine.
"Listen, I'm sorry I pushed you away. It was just all a lot to take in, especially on top of everything that I've been through the past few days. I didn't mean to take it all out on you, I just wish you would've thought about that before blurting all that out," I laugh in attempt to lighten the atmosphere.
"I know," he speaks up. "I know and I'm so sorry that I didn't think to go easy on you. But I got so excited knowing that I'd finally found the one person I've been looking for since I was nineteen that it made me selfish, I guess."
"That's okay, thank you for your apology. I do have one question though," I say, holding up my index finger.
"What is it?" Jungkook asks.
"What made you... think of me?"
"Maybe I'd seen you in the house for a split second once, I don't know. Or maybe it's fatal," he shrugs.
"Well, thank you for always reassuring me when I'm scared. It means a lot to me to know it's you." I smile sweetly at him.
"Why?" He smiles in return.
"Because I'm glad it's someone I know," I half-lie.
"You're welcome."
"Why did you tell Yoongi?" I suddenly ask.
"I'm not sure why, but I just can't bring myself to lie to him. I'm sorry, Hana, I know we didn't plan to have anyone else in on this but Yoongi and Hoseok won't tell anyone, I promise." Jungkook assured.
"Tae told me that Hoseok can't keep secrets," I reply, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Yoongi can manipulate his mind. He can put a blockage on the plan so that Hoseok helps but thinks he doesn't know why he's helping. That way he won't tell Namjoon or Jin," he tells me.
Ah, so that's Yoongi's ability.
I nod, choosing to let it go. "Let's go downstairs."

"You ready, Han?" Taehyung asks as I reach the bottom of the stairs.
"Ready for what?" I raise a brow.
"Your next lesson," Yoongi smiles. "Speed."

so i had a question from a friend ages ago about where the inspiration for this book came from and i don't remember ever answering it oops. anyway, this book was partially inspired by 'V for Vampire' by one of my favourite writers someonepassingby , i don't know how obvious the inspiration is but it's definitely there.
