Nightmares and Proposal

Nya's POV

I woke up to see Jay sleeping restlessly beside me. It breaks my heart to know how much he suffered during the five years he was a prisoner. From the nightmares he's been getting, I can assume what happened was pretty bad. Also, with how severe his injuries were.

I start to shake him a little to wake him up. "Jay! Jay, you need to wake up!" Jay shot up from bed, breathing heavily. "Hey, it's ok. It's just me," I tell him gently.

He looked over at me. "Nya?" he said.

"It's just me, Jay." I give him a hug because it looks like he needs one. I have the love of my life back with me and to me, that's what matters. We started planning our wedding which I'm really excited about, but I do hope that his nightmares stop.

Lloyd's POV

Britney woke me up from another nightmare. I honestly just want the nightmares to stop. I can see everything that happened during the past five years when I close my eyes and I just want to stop seeing it. I know that Jay has also been getting nightmares, so it's not just me.

"You ok?" Britney asked as she was hugging me.

"Yeah," I answer. "I'll be fine."

"You know, I'm right here if you want to talk about it."

"I know. I just don't really want to talk about it tonight."

"Ok, but if you ever do, I'll listen."

"I know you would." I give her a peck on the cheek. "What would I do without you?"

"Good question," she joked. "Why don't you try to sleep some more?"

"Good idea."

I lie back down, trying to fall back to sleep. What would I do without Britney? She is the most amazing girl I've ever met. I love her and want to spend the rest of my life with her. Wait...did I just think that. I think I did. I WANT to spend the rest of my life with her! I want her to become my wife...which means that I'm going to have to propose to her and to do that I need an engagement ring-

I should talk to the guys and ask them for tips because I want to make the proposal perfect for Britney.

A few hours later

I walk out to the kitchen with Britney and Max for breakfast and everyone else is already there.

"Morning Greenie," Kai said. "And you too Britney and Max."

"Morning Kai," Britney said and laughed a little.

"Morning," I said.

Everyone sat down and ate breakfast and afterwards, the girls had decided to take all the kids shopping which us guys don't really want to do. It makes it the perfect time for me to talk to the other guys.

"Can I ask you guys something?" I said.

"What is it Lloyd?" Jay asked.

"How did you guys...know when the...perfect time to propose was?"

The other guys looked at me in shock for a minute before Kai started to smirk at me. "So...you want to propose to Britney?"

"Maybe...yes."

"Pop the question when she's least expecting it," Cole said. "Take her by surprise."

"Believe me, I don't think she's expecting it at all."

"Ask her when you feel the time is right," Zane said.

"Zane's right," Jay said. "You'll know when the time is right."

"Thanks guys. Now, I need a ring."

"Well, the girls aren't here right now," Kai said. "We can take a trip to the jewelry store."

"Ok."

We all left to go look for a ring for Britney. After talking with them, I feel better about doing this. I want to do it. She's the only girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. I just hope she says 'yes'.

That night

I had everything ready. The guys helped me to create the perfect proposal for Britney and we got Max involved too. I'm standing outside the monastery with the guys, waiting for Max to get Britney to come out. That is the job that he was given. I don't think I've ever been this nervous in my life.

Finally, Max comes out with Britney, followed by all the other girls, my Uncle Wu, my mom, and all the other kids.

"What is all this?" Britney asked.

I walked up to her and held her hands. "Britney, you are the most amazing girl I've ever met," I started. "I know we've had our ups and downs, starting with when we met and had a one night stand that resulted in Max. I was so glad that you had decided to give me a second chance after that." Everyone laughed a little. "After that, the relationship we formed became very special to me. It was hard for me being without you for the five years I was gone. You are the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with. So...I think I'm just going to do it." I got down on one knee and opened the little black box I had in my hand. "Britney Ly, will you marry me?"

Britney's POV

He just asked me to marry him? He just asked me to marry him! I stand there in shock for a minute. The ring looks gorgeous with an emerald on it. Lloyd knows green in my favorite color, not just because it's his color, but I've just always liked green. I just realized that I haven't given him my answer yet.

"Yes," I said. Everyone cheered and Lloyd got up and I hugged him. I'm so glad he asked!

I know how crazy the life of a ninja is with how long I've been here, but I love Lloyd and now, I'm going to marry him. My name will become Britney Garmadon. Wow...I'm going to be a Garmadon.

"Congrats Brit," Skylor said as she came up and gave me a hug.

"Congradulations," PIXAL said.

Misako came up to hug me and Lloyd. "Congradulations you two," she said.

"So now there are two weddings to plan," Seliel said.

"I just had an amazing idea!" Nya exclaimed excitedly. "What if we have a double wedding?"

"A double wedding?" Lloyd asked confused.

"We can both get married at the same time!"

"That's a good idea," Jay said.

"I'm ok with it if you are Britney," Lloyd told me.

"That sounds...wonderful!" I said excited. Jay and Nya as well as me and Lloyd are the last ones to get married from the group, so this is going to be exciting.

I just realized that I should probably contact my parents again because I haven't spoken again since they kicked me out of the house. I want them to meet the two most important boys in my life, but...I am worried for how Lloyd will be able to handle meeting them. That is something I can worry about a little later. For now, we have a double wedding to plan.
