Ninja Family

Surprise!

Jay was peacefully sleeping when he was awoken by the sound of someone throwing up.  He looked to the other side of his bed to see that his girlfriend, Nya, wasn't there.  He sighed as he got out of bed and walked to the bathroom.  When he got there, he saw Nya crouching over the toilet and emptying the contents of her stomach.

Jay crouched down next to her.  "Nya," he said softly and concerned.  "This has been going on every morning for the past few weeks.  Maybe you should go see a doctor.  We need to figure out what's going on."

Nya looked up at him with a small smile on her face.  "I know what's going on now," she responded.  "Look on the sink counter."

Jay did as he was told and saw a few pregnancy tests and they were all positive.  "Nya, does this mean what I think it means."

"Yes Jay!  I'm pregnant."

Jay froze.  He was not expecting this.

"Jay?  Are you ok?"  Nya waited for a second to let Jay process the information.  She knew that this must have been a lot for him.  Nya stood up and put a hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eyes.  "Are you ok?"

Jay came back to his senses.  "Y-yeah," he said with a little tremble in his voice.  "It's just a lot to take."

"I understand.  It's a lot for me too."

"So...what do we do now?  Tell everyone?"

"I don't want to tell everyone just yet.  I was thinking that we wait a couple of months.  I don't want to tell everyone too early."

"Ok.  Good.  I don't want to tell Kai yet.  I'm pretty sure he'll kill me."

"I won't let him."  Nya kissed Jay on the lips passionately.  Jay was shocked at first, but then kissed her back.  They broke away after a couple of minutes for air.  "You better?" she asked.

"Yeah."  They knew that this was going to change their lives as well as the lives of the other ninja.

In the kitchen

Zane was making breakfast and Cole and Kai were up talking and waiting for the breakfast to be ready when Lloyd walked in and looked like he was kind of in a daze.  He definitely had something on his mind.  He didn't walk in from the bedrooms though.  He had just arrived at the monastery from somewhere else.

"Morning Lloyd," Kai said to try to snap the green ninja out of his thoughts.  He wasn't very sucessful.  "Where were you last night?"

Lloyd pushed passed them and headed to his room without saying a word.

"What's up with him?" Cole asked.

"No idea," Kai responded.

Jay and Nya walked into the kitchen casually.  They wanted to make it seem like everything was normal ven though they both knew that nothing would be normal again.

"Do you guys know what's up with Lloyd?" Kai asked.

"No," Jay responded.  "What's wrong?"

"He just showed up after being gone all night and went to his room without saying anything."

"That's weird," Nya commented.  "Maybe we should just give him some space for a little while."

"That's probably a good idea," Cole said.

Lloyd's room

When Lloyd got to his room, he quickly shut the door.  He leaned against the door for a minute, holding in his emotions.  He felt ashamed about what he did while he was out, but there was no way he was letting the others find out about what had happened on his outing.  "What have I done?" Lloyd said to himself.
