The stings of the scrapes, the prickling of the purple bruises, the ache of the place where the bullet impaled on her skin was her wake-up call; a horrible one indeed.

Heavy, her body felt beneath the skies and cold was the touch of the air during the retrieval of her consciousness. Her nose picked up a bitter smell with undertones of artificial fragrance and a veil of antiseptic. Soon her eyes fluttered open disclosing a vision of white walls and cold titles, and she knew she was at an hospital.

Trying to lift her sore body from the rigid bed, pain stung where the bullet drilled her skin resulting in a soft groan.

"Mrs.Park, please be careful!" A voice exclaimed aiding her to sit reclined against the headboard. Y/n's eyes traced her wound, where black blood dribbled down once was now treated and bandages ran criss-cross over it.

"Who are you?" She scowled at the mysterious male serving her.

"No need to be alarmed," He held his arms in the air as a peace sign and continued, "I, Kim Seokjin am your doctor as of now and I'm happy to see you recovering well"

"Thank you for taking care of me, Mr.Kim," Y/n gave a light bow as an action of gratitude but still skeptical of the man.

"Don't mention, it's my duty," His lips rose into a warm smile.

"Do you feel any pain in your ribs?" He offered her a glass of water to soothe her parched throat.

"A little," She received the glass and gulped it down finding an odd relief.

"It could have been an ugly wound if a little bit more force was applied but don't worry, you're fine," He reassured with a comforting aura.

"May I ask how long was I out?"

"Almost two days," SeokJin took a glance at the woman before pulling a chair to sit beside her and began, "Mrs.Park, it's my duty to say that you fainted not only due to the impact but also due to stress and overworking"

"When was the last time you slept before this..." His face bared a troubled look when he received silence to be the answer.

"Did you sleep the night before?" To which Y/n replied a solid no.

"Are you having troubles sleeping? Does something bother you, Mrs.Park?"

"Mr.Kim, I understand that you're concerned over my wellbeing as a doctor but you're only here to treat my physical wounds and I appreciate that," She spat not wanting him to intervene any further, Jin flustered by the rejection pursed his lips into a thin line debating.

"Well, I suggest you take your meds properly and get plenty of sleep, given your state is no good if you want I could have someone prepare a diet chart for you," He extended another act of concern but only to be dejected once again, "I'm fine, thank you"
