A/N yees, I'm sooo glad to be writing again! I've been swamped with schoolwork and quarantine. But I've been thinking of making the second book of one-shots, maybe more specific...any thoughts, ideas are all very much appreciated!
Smut, fluff, angst
Frank was chewing gum, walking down the empty streets, like some cowboy.
His wristwatch showed it was already half-past eight and he was late. Again.
But that's okay, because so was he, probably. It's not an easy life to lead, no matter how much money he has. None of us has it easy, but we don't expect them to get it.
And to be completely honest, he can't explain why.
Frank had a decent childhood, managed to finish college and get a job. And he does love Jamia. She's this rock in his life. A constant reminder of the goodness in this world. They've been together since graduation from college and he knows she expects me to get my priorities straight and take a step forward.
She's in her late twenties so she wants marriage. Kids. Life. Contribution to society.
He supposed he would be a coward to others if they knew of course. But he didn't like to think so. Unlike judgmental society, he's not afraid to take a risk and live.
But he would never want to hurt Jamia, as he said, he really loves her.
That's the hard part. You can love two people at once.

"Welcome sir, what can I get you?"
Great. Another rich prick ready to get off on insulting bartenders. Just a side job. Gotta remember that.
"Scotch, neat."
Frank had to hold back not to roll my eyes. Great this one's depressed. He'll have to hear the troubles of having a perfect life.
"Here you go, enjoy."
Frank quickly made his way to the backroom and splashed his face. The tired reflection stared back at him. Even it was snarky.
Iero muttered a few curses and returned to his place, behind the bar.
The man still sat hunched, but quiet. His suit was without a scratch. And Frank couldn't help but notice something appealing in the glassy look.
The young bartender fiddled with a cloth, discretely nearing him.
"So, a beautiful night, isn't it?"
That was stupid. Well done Frank.
But he broke in a smile and nodded, "but New Jersey can't do it justice."
Frank knew his hometown was a hole. But he still felt the need to defend it.
"Well there sir, I don't think you really know Jersey as I do."
He quirked an eyebrow, "isn't a customer always right?"
Frank fell silent. So he is pretentious.
"Another one," he winked and added, "you can join me."
That was rather odd and that's why Frank decided to take his break since it was empty enough. He wasn't in the best mood himself and a drink could do him good.
Frank got himself a vodka martini and so they sat and sipped their beverage.
"So what's up?"
And Frank let himself talk about the misfortunes of his education because artists don't have it easy, and girlfriend troubles.
