He ran up the stairs wildly. Intentionally taking the long way ignoring the elevator.

'What did I just do?!'

The boy was biting his bottom lip to stop the wave of cries that were trying to escape from his quivering lips. He bumped into several passersby on the way but he couldn't care less. They shouted at him angrily but the boy kept on running without even stopping to apologize until he reached the door of his shared apartment with Hoseok.

' Why did I do it ?'

Tears were already welling up in Jungkook's eyes, blurring the view in front of him. They ran down his cheeks and he felt that saltiness in his mouth. Even though he had a key, he wasn't in his right mind to do anything. So he knocked on the door absentmindedly and Jungkook knew he may've looked like a freak. " H - Hoseok hyung, hyung...", the boy's calling out for his friend was a broken sentence for the cries that he was holding at his best finally got a chance to escape this cage.

The door opened moments later followed by the sound of running foot steps with a " Ju- Jungkook-ah... are you crying? ".

The moment the door opened, he was still wiping out the tears with the back of his hand shedding ugly sobs. Hoseok's eyes widened and they looked all over him with concern.

"Jungkook? .. what happened?".

The boy didn't reply.

Those words were just enough for him to cry out more. He took some steps forward, breaking the distance between them and leaned his head in the crook of Hoseok's neck. The elder's warmth gave him a false hope that everything would be fine as Hoseok wrapped him in a hug right away, closing the door behind them.

Jungkook knew that he was wetting hyung's shirt with his sinful tears but Hoseok was the only person that he could rely on again for the moment because he already lost him. He lost Jimin.

'Fuck you Jungkook.'

Hoseok rubbed soothing circles on his back for a moment, silently listening to the ugly cries that released underneath him before he chose to speak " Kookie, just tell me." He sounded so calm, rational and collected. He didn't even know what he would do without Hoseok since he was always like an elder brother for the boy and Jungkook felt his need more and more at times like that.

"Tell me what happened, okay? I will help you."

Jungkook nodded as he slowly parted away from the other. He kept his gaze turned downwards, he didn't want Hoseok to see how at a loss of hope he was in. But the boy knew that Hoseok already saw his face like that, so it was useless. "Can we sit at that couch first?", his voice was low as it can ever get but Hoseok managed to make out what he said. And there was something that he finally wanted to let out. And he knew that it was the moment that he should tell Hoseok about this though he already knew Jungkook's biggest secret in life.

Such a dark secret that he really wanted to erase from his whole world, a secret that had to keep until that one day comes-- which should be very soon, a secret that simply ruined his life.

Hoseok nodded as he hummed in response and he dragged Jungkook towards the couch, slightly pulling him by the hand and they both sat down on it silently.

Jungkook wiped away the tears that resurfaced his cheeks again and took a broken inhale. "What is it?", Hoseok asked him again and he finally looked up to find Hoseok's face with his teary eyes, noticing for the first time that his hair was wet and so was his face covered with sweat. The smell came from him and the headphones that lied on his shoulders only said that Hoseok was practicing his dance moves in the living room and Jungkook had to destroy that too.
