Introduction and disclaimer
From author -
Please read the whole thing before reading the book. It's a request. Don't continue otherwise. Thank you
This is to inform the readers that I would not tolerate anything against LGBTQ or dark people or plus size people. I want to say that being fat/plus size is not a bad thing and those people can queen if their heart's gold. No offensive comments against me/readers/any group are ignored. I'll read all your comments. It would be super nice if you share your thoughts. Respect everyone's views.
Hope you'll view the story from all aspects before coming to a conclusion. Try to picture things from the character's view as you may find the character dramatic but I've experienced some of those feelings and other by friends. Overthinking leads to some serious issues.
ALSO, I don't want any of you to adapt any of the negative feelings from the characters. Please do not read it if you get triggered easily. You may not but time changes and you may, unknowingly adapt them. And that is something I don't want as I am the one deserved to be blamed if those thoughts occur.
Just know that everything will be fine. It'll take time but things will get better eventually. Please do not let one particular period or a small collection of them ruin things. I trust you and I know you can be good if you want to.
Also, if any of you are wondering, yes, the name is inspired from the kdrama "It's okay to not be okay" but this story is a lot different.
A briefer look into the story :
This is a tale about the lives of Annika and Ryan who has enough things in their own plate.
Ryan had a difficult childhood with his mother dying as soon as he was born and his stepmother entering 2 years later. Further added his father's death. In a car accident, when Ryan was 10, his father left the world without a proper good bye and thus began his step mother's torture. His step brother was of no help either. They both used to beat him up and torture him. His father's death brought his silence. He would take it all quietly, with no hope to live.
Annika, with lovely parents, went through her trust issues. Being over weight during high school didn't influence her in a bad way. She had friends but she knew her body always put her away from something. To overcome this, she learned martial arts but it didn't help. Her insecurities grew and her darkness was consuming her. She finally stopped eating like before and got in shape due to the society stereotypes. And now begins there college story.
