Be on chapter 51 for the manga!
I have no idea what's happening.
There are bandits screaming in pain. Though, they don't have any wounds. Shin-Ah's here. His mask is off. He doesn't look like himself. Yona's yelling at him. She's not reaching him.
Another scream of pain echoes through the area. The bandit behind Shin-Ah is gripping his hair as his eyes bulge out of his head.
"Shin-Ah! It's okay! Snap out of it!" Yona yells, running in front of Shin-Ah. "Yona move!" I yell, running up to her and pushing her out of the way.
Suddenly, a dark, black, shadow dragon appears in front of me. His jaw opens wide and my eyes shake in horror. 'This is Shin-Ah's power?' I think to myself. I quickly shake my head and turn away from the dragon and towards Shin-Ah.
The look in his eyes.
It's terrifying.
It's obvious he isn't himself.
All of his bottled up power is being let out in one moment.
I gently place my hands over his eyes as I see a shadow look over me from behind.
"Hey, Shin-Ah, it's okay now. The bandits are all down. You did it. Yona's safe. We're all safe now. You can stop. I think you're scaring Yona a little bit. He-"
An abrupt, painful feeling suddenly takes over my back as I force down a choke. It felt like my flesh was being torn apart a million times in one second. It feels like getting kicked by a horse with sword hooves. The pain is too surreal.
'It's not real. Just Shin-Ah's power. It's not real. Just focus on Shin-Ah. Help him.' I think, as sweat rolls down my face from the amount of effort it's taking not to scream.
"S-shin-Ah-h you gotta s-snap out of o-okay." I say, my fingers slightly clenching around Shin-Ah face as the pain increases.
'Nothing I'll say will get through to him. He can't hear me, dammit. I gotta do something.'
I felt something sharp wrap around my neck and my hands instinctively went to wrap them but they hit nothing. Choked gags escape my throat as it feels like pins are closing in on my neck while someone is strangling me.
"S-shin-Ah, you gotta snap out of it alright. Remember t-training? I know we h-haven't gone over your powers much b-but try to remember. Just breathe. Take a d-deep breath and-" I say, trying to push away the fake dragon. 'Dammit, Shin-Ah.'
Nothing I say will get through to him. There's nothing I can say to snap him out of it.
I just got a stupid idea.
Acting on complete impulse, without thinking anything through, I place my hands on Shin-Ah's cheek and crash my lips against his own.
The sudden sensation of Shin-Ah's surprisingly sweet lips makes my heart skip a beat. The tenderness yet soft feeling of his lips was a feeling I found myself not wanting to forget.
A hiss escapes my mouth as the dragon behind me bites into me once more.
I press harder but his numb lips were unresponsive. 'Come on, don't make this for nothing, Shin-Ah.' I think, somewhat annoyed that this isn't working. I lightly bite his lip in hope of snapping him out of it. I feel Shin-Ah's unresponsive body suddenly tense up and I release.
Before I could say anything, Shin-Ah's body fell limp onto me as I brace myself. "Glad you're back down to earth." I say, brushing through Shin-Ah's hair. Not that he could feel it.
"Shin-Ah!" Yona yells, running over to us. 'Shoot. I forgot Yona was watching. Shit, Hak's going to kill me.' I sweatdrop. "Here, Yona. Help me get him down." I say. Yona does as she's told and helped me get Shin-Ah lying on the ground. At least we didn't have to worry about him being comfortable since he can't feel anything at the moment.
As Yona starts comforting Shin-Ah, my adrenaline rush dies down, I feel a sudden sting on my head. I hiss and place a hand on my head, stumbling back slightly.
"Y-yona...c-catch...Yur-ri." I hear Shin-Ah mumble. Yona gasps and quickly catches me as I start fading out. "All this excitement isn't good for me." I mumble as Yona helps me sit. Yona lays my head on her lap as she starts absentmindedly playing with my hair.
Yona and Shin-Ah's voices were muffled as everything got a little blurry. I don't pick a fight and let the darkness consume me, making me fall unconscious.
"This place again?" I ask myself as I walk through the black abyss. I sigh and sit down, waiting for the light to envelope me. And that it did.
There's a bunch of flashing
Like a light is flickering.
Everything's so blurry.
There's a lot of people.
What are they saying?
"Wer—osing—r."
"C—r!"
"Com—ack—ease."
Why are there so many people above me?
What is that in their hands? Or on their faces?
"Cle—"
Everything starts fading as my eyes close.
😋This chapter made me happy.
Sorry about the terrible kiss description. The kiss wasn't actually like a kiss-kiss. More like a snap-out-of-it-Shin-Ah-thing. I wonder what will happen next?! 🤔
