Lots of naughty words ahead. Be prepared

By the time I got back to camp, everyone was asleep in multiple tents. It might've been a few days since I left. My bad. I quietly put my stuff away shuffle towards the burned out campfire.

'Should I make them something as an apology? I shouldn't have left them for so long. They might've needed my help or something. Or maybe they're worried. Or mad that I left so suddenly. I dunno...' I debate, contemplating on my next move.

I end up standing in place for multiple minutes, unsure of what to do. All I know is, I can't just show up without some sort of apology and pretend everything's normal.

'I'll make them something!' I decide, slightly clenching my fists in determination with a small smile. I start walking to Yoon's bag of ingredients before halting. 'Can I use them? I didn't really ask. I could be overstepping my boundaries...'

'Dammit! I'm being so weird! Stop it me!'

I quickly grab Yoon's bag and start to silently look for food.

I start mumbling the speech I planned for everyone as I put food into a pot over the fire.

"Hey guys, long time no see! No...too normal. Ummm, hello. I made this as an apology. I'm sorry for any trouble. No, too awkward. Can't I just give them a letter? It'd be so much easier. For me at least." I mumble under my breath.

After putting everything in, I sit by the fire, waiting for the food to cook. I put my knees to my chest and rest my chin on them.

My minds blank as I stare that the cackling fire. The heat reaching my face but not enough to make me hot.

Suddenly, my eyes shoot open, a sudden realization hitting me.

'Shin-Ah...'

Fuck.

'Crap, I never checked on him. Is he still paralyzed? Did he tell everyone? Is he okay? Does he remember? Is he worried? Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckkkk.'

I place my hands over my face to hide my blush, trashing my head back and forth as silent squeals leave my mouth.

'Holy fuck nuggets I kissed him. Why would I do that? In front of Yona too! She probably spilled the beans without realizing the situation because she's her innocent self. I mean what else was I supposed to do?! He wouldn't snap out of it and there was this stupid shadow beast biting my back!! Oh shitty shit fuck.'

The sudden sound of someone clearing their throat behind me snaps me out of my thought. My body tenses up as I look behind me to see Hak standing there with his arms crossed. I feel my face unconsciously drop and turn into an annoyed-pouty-pissed-off look.

"Hi." I grumble, turning back to the fire, not being able to look Hak in the eyes.

'What the hell?! I was suppose to apologize not be a grumpy brat!' I internally scold myself. I hear Hak's feet shuffle behind me, his head suddenly appearing over my shoulder, right next to my face as he bends down.

"Whatcha cooking? Better be good." Hak says, a smirk on his face.

"I...don't know. I just cooked it. And if it's not good then cook something yourself." I grumble, turning my head away so Hak isn't talking in my ear. "How do you not know what you cooked? That's a little concerning, Yuri." Hak teases. "Well, you'll forgive me for not remembering and just letting my hands do whatever. Would you rather I tried to make something with the zero knowledge I have and poison you?" I say, stirring the pot to occupy myself.
