I failed to notice the shadow hovering over me as I cried.
"Yuri?"
Now
I jump as a sudden voice calls out my name. My head shakingly turns around as my eyes shake in fear.
No...
Don't let anyone see me like this!
Please!!
I feel my body shake as I see a familiar person behind me.
Jea-Ha...
'No. Please, no! I can't let anyone see me like this!' I mentally scream, my eyes widening in horror.
I slowly turn my head back around and raise my shaking hands. I let out a shaky breath as I try to wake up from this nightmare.
My lip starts quivering as I squeeze my eyes shut "No. No. Don't look. Please. Go away!" I cry, gripping my hair. I lean forward into a little ball, trying to hide myself from existence. I rest my head on my legs as whimpers escape my throat.
I hear footsteps coming to me and I flinch. I hear Jea-Ha sit down next to me and place a hand on my back. "Please...go away. I can't...I can't have anyone see me like this." I whimper, turning my head away from them.
I'm swiftly placed on Jea-Ha's lap as he starts rubbing the back of my head. He starts to soothingly hush to a random beat.
A cry escapes me, echoing through the alley. I grip wrap my hands around my face as I hopelessly cry. Small screams randomly escaped my throat along with frantic breaths. I wrap my arms around Jea-Ha and bury my head into his chest.
For the next few minutes, Jea-Ha whispers soothing words into my ear as I drench his expensive looking clothing. After a while, I finally calm down enough for Jea-Ha to speak.
"Everyone's worried about you, you know? But, they can wait. Tell me, Yuri dear, who did this to you?" Jea-Ha whispers into my ear. "I-I don't know. I c-can't remember." I sniffle, digging my head further into his chest. I hear Jea-Ha sigh and he stands up, carrying me bridal style.
"Let's sneak you into camp, yeah? Don't worry, no one will see you." Jea-Ha says, looking down to me. I hesitantly nod and hold onto Jea-Ha has he jumps into the air.
Just as he promised, he got me into camp without anyone noticing. He dropped me off into the lookout post, by my request, and promised not to let anyone come up until I feel better. I feel guilty for making him do all this. But, he wouldn't have offered if he didn't want to do it. I hope.
I curl up against the small wall, bringing my knees to my chest. I dig my head into my knees as I try to return to my useful self.
I could hear the cheers of celebration from down below. People are still celebrating. I sigh and lift my head up.
"Ah! Shin-Ah. What brings you here? Everyone's still celebrating." I hear Jea-Ha say, obviously talking loud so I can hear. My body tenses up. "Yuri's up there? No. I don't think so. Probably just a drunk pirate. Yuri was with Yona last time I checked." Jea-Ha says. There's a small pause until Jea-Ha speaks again. "You can see her? No, you can't. Your eyes are messing with you." Jea-Ha says, trying to get Shin-Ah away but failing miserably. I sigh and poke my head out of the lookout.
"It's okay, Jea-Ha. Come on up, Shin-Ah." I say before returning back to my spot. I quickly slap my cheeks then viscously shake my head.
I already know there's no point in trying to hide from Shin-Ah. His eyes can see right through me without any trouble. But, I stubbornly refuse to accept that and try to act normal.
Shin-Ah's head pokes up into the lookout and he climbs into it with me. I start sweating nervously as Shin-Ah stares at me.
"You've been crying." Shin-Ah states. There's another pause of silence and Shin-Ah leans in closer. "You're pale too." He says. "Too much booze." I pout, turning my head to the side. Shin-Ah obviously isn't convinced. There's another pause of silence. I know Shin-Ah doesn't have a clue on what to do. He's been in solitude forever with only a chipmunk friend. He doesn't know how to comfort someone. Not that I want comforting...or anything. But, I could tell he wants to know what's wrong.
I bite my lip and bring my knees closer to my chest. "I don't know." I mumble, resting my forehead on my knees to hide my face. "I was walking with Yona when we ran into this man. Something about him just made me boil in anger but drown in fear. And...I-I don't even know why. It's so frustrating! I can't even remember why someone made me feel this way." I explain, attempting to swallow the tears.
'From Kum-Ji knowing more about me than myself to this stupid blonde man making me sick, I don't even know how to feel or how to react.'
"It'll...be okay. We will get your memory back." Shin-Ah says, reassuringly. I smile and lift my head off my knees. "Thanks, Shin-Ah." I sigh.
Short chapter I know. Gomen! >.< It's so hard to put Shin-Ah in these kinds of situations and I'm pretty sure I did a shitty job T.T Let's just call this a filler for what happened after Yuri lost it. I'll do better next time! ✊
